I've just purchased some slimming pills!

Right, I've been stuck at home the last few days suffering with a cold/chest infection. Consequently I've been spending a lot of time researching stuff on the internet. Namely a magic wand that will help me lose weight!:D

So, after sifting through loads and loads of info I have ordered 3 months worth of Proactol. :p

The info is most encouraging, it looks safe, makes sense and although expensive sounds extremely promising.

It works with 'fat binders' but unlike xenical doesn't appear to have the drastic side effects.;)

I've been on various review sites, not associated with the sale of it and it is coming out on top of every other tablet out there.

It seems a random and major step for me but as I have never tried such a thing, I thought why not. Yes, I have been seduced by the reviews but I have read them all good and bad and quite honestly it is hard to find any bad.

I think they should arrive sometime next week and I will keep you all posted on how I get on. They may be a serious waste of money, but I just feel it's worth a try!

Why? Do you know something dodgy about them? They do appear to have been thoroughly medically tested and are recommended by Dr Adam Carey (celeb fit club) amongst others.

Fair point Moon, I will certainly bear that in mind.

I just feel, having read so much about them, that i might as well try them. Lots of people do put weight back and then some after dieting conventionally, so I just need to be aware of that.

I'll keep you posted!

The Daily telegraph has a very positive article about the pills too!

Hey Barb :)

I had a little search myself (thankyou google :D) They sound good. They certainly sound safe:cool:

I think it's important when you google for this sort of thing, that you search high and low for the bad points. There are so many pages out there that the proactol people have made and paid for, to promote their pills, that it's hard to get a true review.

Still, they do sound promising.

Did you see this page?

Proactol Review: Does Proactol Work?
Just a few concerns about taking other medication. I know you are on inhalers, and I would be surprised if that comes under the same restrictions, but tablets?? Be warned, you will need to have them at least 2 hours before you take any proactol. That might be a problem? But apart from that, and the bloating that might happen, it may well be worth a try.

Oh, and I certainly don't think that you are more likely to put the weight back on after you finish 'the course'. No more than any other person anyway.

Best of luck with them. Hope they work for you :)

You're right there is a heck of a lot of advertsing but you can weed through it with patience!:D

Still, they do sound promising. I'm very glad you think so; you know how much value your opinion KD.;)

Proactol Review: Does Proactol Work? Think so, TBH I read so many but was mostly interested in the 'unconnected' views. I realise that the makers are very keen to promote them.

Deffo going to have to be organised but am happy to make that effort. Feeling abit demoralised at the mo because of not being able to use my xtrainer, so this has given me a lift.

Best of luck with them. Hope they work for you :)

Thanks KD, as promised I will keep you posted. The important thing is they look safe and well researched. I think some of the pills out there sound extremely dodgy; especially the ephedrine based ones. I thought they weren't allowed anymore. Guess you can get anything on the good old internet!

Love Barb xxx

Don't worry KD - just thought you'd gone off me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi I know nothing about these slimming tablets ,so just general coments from me .

As long as you have researched them for side affects with your present meds you go for it .What works for you may not suit everyone else and Im sure with your motivation to prove peeps wrong these are going to work for you.keep us informed on how you are going and good luck xxxx

Hey Barb. You know me better than that. Takes a lot for me to go off people ;)

Just not getting on here much. spread myself around too much I'm told :(

Look forward to hearing how you get on with the tablets. Will be great if it turns out to be the answer for you

Thanks KD and Mandye - I am really hopeful.

The reviews I've read are predominantly positive with people ranging from losing a little to a lot. As I have kind of resigned myself to no more serious dieting, any loss will be an absolute bonus. Even half a stone would be great.

Not sure how long it will take for them to arrive but as soon as I start them I'll let you know how I get on!

hey good luck keep us postedon how you go:rolleyes:

Will do Samsmummy!

did your friend follow a weight loss plan whilst taking the pills or did she continue to eat badly and soley relied upon the pills?

all diet methods work. people who put the weight on only have themselves to blame.

I agree CC - I intend to use these pills in ADDITION to eating more carefully and using my xtrainer. :D

I just think if they give me a helping hand then that would be great.;)

However, I know that if I stop taking them and revert to old habits the weight will fly back on again - assuming it flys off in the first place!:p

I am happy to be a guinea pig and will let you all know exactly how I get on!
