im on day one of cd and ive had a shake and enough water to sink a ship but my mouth is so dry y?????????

That happening to me too, not sure why but its horrible isn't it. I'm on day too now and just gone into ketosis and I know the inside of your mouth changes then so maybe you're experiencing the very beginnings of ketosis.
