1/3 - Hypnotherapy

Kathy Sykes, professor of Science and Society at Bristol, examines alternative therapies in Europe and the US. Half a million people in England use hypnotherapy every year. It's claimed it can help with addiction, phobias, allergies and even breast enlargement. Kathy meets Richard, who wants to quit smoking, Nicola, who wants to eat less and Mandy, who wants teeth implants without anaesthetic. Kathy tries hypnosis herself and discovers the scientific explanation for the hypnotic trance.

Think it could interest a number of people on here (with the hypnotherapy talk going at the moment)

Not sure many will see this message in time though :(

Dentist - OOOOUUUCHHHH!!!!

Amazing stuff!

Gx

OMG, can't believe she just had 2 teeth out & implants just under hypno

The dental stuff was just

I couldn't look.

So it seems that hypnotherapy is more suited for pain relief and IBS (according to the programme anyway)

Who would have thought IBS??

Was a good programme though. Loved the hypnotherapist/gut professor, especially when he talking about droning on saying nice things :D Quite a down to earth character.

I'm pretty sure that I could never be hypnotised. I'm too much of a rebel. Completely 'unsuggestable' (sure that's not really a word:D)
