Hi

ive been prescribed iron tablets (ferreous sulphate) as my doctor said im a bit anaemic!
When i gave birth last year i lost 2 litres of blood and was never treated for it!

Ive been feeling lethargic all this time and my doc has just prescribed these for me now!

does anyone know if im allowed to take these on this diet?!!

Thanks
Lou

Yes they are ok to take...I too am on iron tablets and they have not affected the diet.

You do need to run this by your GP as the diet does contain 100% RDA of Iron. You may now be taking too much.

Ask your CDC for an Information for Doctors booklet and ask her to highlight the amount of Iron in the diet.

im on iron tabs to no effect on my diet

Hi,

The Iron tablets will not necessarily affect your diet but this should be run by the GP to ensure you are not taking too much which can potentially be harmful.

This is the advice from our Medical Department.

Always best to check with your GP if you are prescribed something after your MRF has been signed so it can be checked out.
