Weigh-in Times

Hi there everyone :party0011:I am Day 62 on LL and 2 stones lighter (1 to go)
This has been bugging me and I have to ask.
Why, when we all know that you are your lightest first thing in the morning, are we weighed in the evening?
I gain between 3 and 4 pounds during the day.
What is my TRUE weight?
I just feel cross every time as I 'know' that I am lighter than what is recorded in my book.
If anyone has any words of wisdom regarding this I would love to hear them :)

Also..this forum is great, only wish I had come across it on Day 1:):gen144:

Hi Peaches,

I dont think what time you way yourself should be an issue. You know what you weigh and why you weigh more in the evening so it doesnt really matter.

I personally think that too much emphasis is put on the scales. I find that if I dont have any scales, i always do better than if I constantly weigh myself.

Well done on your fab weight loss you seem to be doing ok so dont let it worry you.

Hello Ladylite and Thankyou for taking the time to reply.
I suppose for me it's a motivation issue and a bit of an obsession at this point!
One day the scales will go in the bin :-D

I know what you mean I am not very good with the scales, I used to be a scale hopper but I now get my OH to hide them from me. I found that if they didnt go down I lost motivation.

I just wait til WI and most of the time I am pleasantly surprised. On the odd occasion I have been shocked but not that often.

I know what you mean Peaches - I am seriously obsessed with my scales - first thing every morning, I jump straight on them. I've noticed as much as 5lb difference between morning and evening, so I go by what ever the lightest amount is - that keeps me motivated, and if I havn't lost anything in one day that's fine, as long as it doesn't start going the other way, but then think on this diet, putting weight on is practically impossible!!

nAUGHTY NAUGHTY HOME WEIGHERS!! :whoopass: :D hehehehehehhehe

As you are eating the same thing every day, and drinking the same amount every day, and weighing the same time at night every week, it shouldn't be a problem....it's still consistant.

Classes are held all various hours of the day/evening. I am in an evening class to, and thats just the weigh it goes. (get it!? WEIGH it goes? :D heheheheheh - oh my, I have that holiday feeling coming on! :D)

Well done on your loss, and try not to focus too much on the scales. You are doing great! :)

I wouldn't worry about being lighter in the morning, if you are weighed at the same time every week, you'll know how much you've lost... it's just one of those things, most people work and can't get there in the morning :)
