Reassurance Needed

I never weigh myself I like to see the loss from the scales at the group meeting. I think you set yourself up for a dissapointment if you do. Wait until your meeting I'm sure you will see some sort of loss, good luck xxx

Not only do you set yourself up for dissappointment, you also set yourself up for unnecissary worry! ;) :)

I only weighed myself at home one week and i got really upset cos both sets of scales are different.
I was really upset then realised there was nothing to worry about at WI!
throw them away!

Weight loss often goes in stages. I tended to lose alot one week, then less the next (as you can see) and this is quite normal. As long as you are staying abstinent, you will lose an average of 3.5lbs a week (mine was about 4lbs). So don't think about week-to-week - think about over the period of time you are on it.

Even if you lost nothing this week, that's still an average of 5lb a week - show me another diet where you can do that!

Hi,
I had the same last week. No ryhme or reason for it either, I am discovering my body appears to operate around it's own rules and has a really lousy sense of humour.
Hang on in there and just do the weigh in at LL.
As everyone says - throw those scales out of the window!!!
:)

I have to agree with the other ladies weighing yourself at home just causes you uneccesary worry, especially as most home scales are pretty inacurate. Stick with it as you're doing great, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if you had a loss this week.

p.s 5 litres of water is great! they say the more you drink the more you shrink, so continuing with that is really good!

TOTM can make a big difference too. It can slow the weight loss down that week - usually you catch up the following week though and it all averages out over the month too.

Don't worry too much, if you follow the plan it works, I kept to that all the way through as it's not something I got with WW or SW!
