Hi,

I'm new to this site and to the Exante diet. I'm thinking that maybe a diary will keep me on track and stop me from going crazy!
I've tried Slimming World and Weight watchers, I always lose a little bit and then get fed up and stop and put it back on. I'm hoping I can lose the weight I need to quicker and then concentrate on keeping off and staying healthy.
I Started on Monday and four days in I feel like I'm thinking of food more than ever. Although I'm glad I picked a mx of shakes, bars and food packs so at least I feel like I'm getting some actual food.
So that's me, still feeling hungry or at least thinking about food and taking it one meal at a time, while running around after my two small children and hoping I'll be thinner soon!

Good luck on your weight loss journey, it does get easier when ketosis kicks in. Stick around, the support on here is great and helps when you feel like you are going to cave!

Stick with it.
some days are harder than others but then it does become the 'norm'.
food thoughts are always my reason for falling off the wagon though.
Some people can nibble at bits to get them through but not me. If i do that, i end up having an epic fail.
so keep going, especially as you have done the hard part and your reward will be your first weeks weigh in result :)

Yeah I think I'd be the same with the nibbling so I'll stay away. I know I have 2 occasions, 1 at the end of the month and 1 at the beginning of November where I think it will be difficult to eat so I'm going to have to be as good as I can so I can have something on those days.
I'm finding it easy and difficult at the same time, it's nice not having to think about food and I feel better already, there's times I find it so easy and other times it's very difficult, like now when my husband is cooking bacon!!
although seeing the loses people have in a short space of time and knowing that could be me is spurring me on.
from what I've seen on here so far everyone seems friendly and helpful, I do feel like I'm finding my feet with it all.

Welcome to the forum Poppy & well done on getting to day 4. Have you had any headaches while ketosis sets in.

Food thoughts will come & go but it does get a little easier once ketosis arrives. Good luck for the rest of the week x

Have a good day poppy, nearly the end of the week for you.

When is your first weigh in?

Hi Susie and Miss mac,
day 5! Not really had any headaches that I've noticed but with a 10 month old and a 4 year old I'm not sure I'd notice
managed to resist the bacon last night and have woken up today with an awful taste in my mouth that nothing can shift so hoping I'm definitely in ketosis now and it my start to get a bit easier.
remembered last night that I'd ordered a drinks mix in one of my packs, I like water but I'm bored of it already so getting the drinks mix out today and I'm far too happy about that.
the thought of doing this for months is scary but one day at a time I suppose - weight on Monday.

hope everyone has a great day!

Not impressed with the peach drinks mix
Although I am surprised most of the stuff I've tried so far has been ok, nothing I've really disliked.

Feeling light/fuzzy headed and weak today, just weighed myself even though weigh in isn't until Monday and I'm 10lb lighter! That's definitely going to help me get through today. Good job we are only have a PJ day before school on Monday as I'm not up to much, thinking of developing a caffeine habit :)

That's excellent Poppy, well done.

Do you like coffee, there are some flavoured coffees that are allowed from the Beanie range that may be worth trying. Also you can have the occasional mug of reduced salt bouillon. Keeping your fluid intake up will help a lot & the body does get use to it after a while xx

Thanks Susie, I don't like coffee but the Beanie range maybe something to look into. I've just been having water and coke zero so far. I feel like today's been my worst day by far, I'm going to get out tommorow and distract myself I think. I currently feel like I'm counting down until I can have my bar.

Yes keep yourself distracted and the urge will pass. I'm doing an awful lot of puzzles lately. Think i've turned into my nan x

Fabulous loss up to now Poppy, very well done :D

Welcome and good luck Poppy...we are all here to help each other

Thank you. Yesterday was really difficult but feeling better today. Had Pancakes and a hot peach drink for breakfast which were lovely and have a busy day today getting my sons haircut for school and ordering my daughters first birthday cake. Hope everyone has a great day.

Hope today is a better day for you, it does get easier :)

Better day today, had pancakes and a hot peach drink for breakfast, a bar and a coke zero for lunch and a pasta and a hot peach drink for tea. Not felt to bad or too hungry but I have been busy today so wondering if that's helped.
