Miss Dee's Dukan Diary

A little about me:

I tried Dukan two years ago and had really good results with it. I met my boyfriend, and those results kind of flew out the window. There were lots of take-aways and date nights, and slowly I managed to put on over 2 st.

My boyfriend has a fantastic metabolism, so this really didn't mean anything for him. Now I just feel really out of shape and unhealthy, and I want to get back to being fit and healthy again, but it's difficult when I'm the only one eating this way. Also, I'm a teacher. The constant biscuits, cakes, and other treats in the staff room are a daily challenge haha.

I'm hoping that I'll find the motivation here to help me make Dukan work for me! I'm travelling at the moment, so I'm planning on starting Sunday the 31st August.

Hi miss dee,

welcome :) me reading your story just reminded me of my weight gain when I first did the dukan. Lost 47lbs met my now husband then piled 2 stone back on...takeaways & date nights DO have a lot to answer for, but it seems so romantic and fun at the time :0

annoyingly my husband doesn't seem to put weight on at the rate that I do, and if he gets a belly he joins me on dukan does 5 days of attack & seriously his belly turns flat!!! Grrrrrrrrr

but back to you...good luck, you've done it before & you will do it again!!

keep posting

Hi Miss Dee your story sounds familiar to me! And like you the treats at work are always around and difficult to avoid! Good luck

Men... The root of all our problems!

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress :)

I would be lying if I said it was as easy this time around. I find myself almost slipping by accident, as if I'm forgetting about my eating!
Work is stressful at the moment, so I've done next to no physical activity. I'm really tired and I almost ate a sweet today that one of my students brought in, when I realised what I was about to do! haha

Good to hear from you miss dee....work stresses are the worst cos you can't focus 100% on dukan but you're doing it!! Are you keeping a diary? That helps me...don't be too hard on yourself....as you know from before...you can do it!! :) xx

I'm genuinely getting so frustrated. When I did Dukan last time, I lost lots quite quickly. This time around, I'm not losing anything! Where am I going wrong? Can not drinking enough water be an issue? Or lack of sleep? I'm a bit down about it all at the moment.

have you tried logging your food / daily menus, dee? I find that it really helps to do that, either here, or in mfp, wherever. It's easy to tell yourself you're following the rules to the letter, but actually you're getting some sneaky carbs or salt or something.

And try and schedule time for walking. I know what it's like when work is stressful, you just don't have time for anything, but I always feel better if I force myself to get out for a bit. You WILL get there!
