Dear All
I've noticed on the WW boards there are a few SW deserters and was just wondering do we have any WW deserters on the SW boards? I have been doing WW for some time now and have not lost a good deal of weight even though I have it to lose - I think I have become a little complacent with the plan to be honest and its like a I need something to challenge me lol.

I have been looking at the SW boards and by just reading them I feel fuller.....I feel hungry a lot of the time on WW.

I am just not the best cook in the world - can SW be done without being the next Gordom Ramsey lol xx

Hi there

I am just starting my 2nd week on SW after being a ww fan! I was doing great on ww up until going on holiday in June and I could not for the life of me get back on plan! I am now a stone heavier ? I was fed up of being hungry all the time and kept pigging out at the weekends with the "start on Monday" attitude. I decided to try slimming world (done it many years ago but not EE) I am loving the plan so far. I am no cook but have had a go at some of the recipes which are really tasty and easy to follow. I am not hungry and I am being sensible with my carb portions etc. Now I only lost 3lb my first weigh in today, I have a stone and a half to target. I was feeling a bit fed up this morning as I thought I would have lost more then I reminded myself of all the filling and healthy food I have had and not feeling deprived and I thought it's pretty good to be honest. I had a massive gammon steak on Sunday with slimming world chips, egg, toms and peas. Also had the equivalent of 1 1/2 bottles of red wine over the course of the bank holiday! Hoping I can do 1-2 lb a week and I think I will be happy with that. A bit of planning is needed but I had to do that with ww.

Sorry for the long rambling post lol and good luck with your weight loss journey xxx

Hi There Chocolate
Thank you for your response and well done on your 3lb loss that is FAB!
My stats are very similar to yours and I can honestly say I have just been like you.
I think in nearly a year I have lost about 18lbs which is dreadful for the weight I have to lose. I lost 70lbs many many moons ago with WW and I actually have been clerking at a meeting but to no avail.
I just think I need to try something "new" and give it a fair shot.
Thanks again for the advice.
I am away at the end of next week on hols for 2 weeks so was going to join a class on my return.

Yes that was me, I was fed up with ww, eating the same things all the time! Enjoy your holiday and let us know how you get on

Forgot to add my stats are all wrong! Done to many diets and messing about lol. Must change them ? x

I did ww for years and lost 2st and kept it off but once I got to a certain weight nothing I did would work to get below 11st!! I often used to go to bed at 8pm because I was so hungry. Since starting sw I can honestly say I've never been hungry and I've managed to lost another 1/2 stone. I'm still not 100% gone on sw I think it's not restrictive enough but it's doing ok for now

Me too! I did Discovery about five years ago, found it worked really well and then never got on with the new weekly points system. Too easy to slip up! I've just started on SW and it's so much easier.

I lost 2 stone about 2 years a go on WW so it did work for me but I just got bored. Alls I did was rely on the microwave meals constantly and pre packed stuff. But since joining SW I've found a new love, cooking!! :)

I have just started SW from doing WW and being a huge WW fan. I haven't moved because I dislike WW I believe the portion control helped me so much to loae 3 stone. However pointing and weighing has just gotten tedious and I feel bored, I am loving SW a lot it's all new to me and that in turn renews my determination. I must admit I feel less hungry too, because I'm eating so much, it almost feels wrong so I hope I lose weight on my first weigh in!

- Smile, go on. Smile. Love Clare. x

I changed over for the exact same reason! I would never knock ww as its a great eating plan and is fab for teaching what normal portion sizes are. But I got sick of constantly thinking about points - how many I had left etc

It took me about 6 months to stop automatically pointing everything I ate though!!
