Extra Easy Fromage Frais Vs Yogurt

I've been using fat free fromage frais to put in a curry at the end of cooking which makes it creamier and thickens it.

My local Tesco is no longer selling fat free fromage frais. Bah. Could I use fat free yogurt instead or will it curdle/be nasty? Would it matter if it's regular yogurt or a greek style one?

The curdling problems seems to be as a result of method rather than ingredients. Try fat free natural yogurt - i personally find it too acidic in some dishes but others swear by it. Just don't add it to food that is piping hot otherwise it'll ruin the meal.

I've always used fat free yogurt in curries, long before I even knew about SW. I think the key thing is to stir it in just before serving, that way it won't curdle. Yogurt is traditional in Indian curries, French fromage frais or Greek yogurt, not so much :)

Fabulous, thanks folks! I always add it right at the end so as long as I don't boil it it'll be okay I think.

Try using the coconut mullerlights, they taste lovely in curry x

I'm going to try the coconut Muller lights as I am making chicken curry tonight. Thanks for the tip!
