Hi everyone,

I've decided to give sw another go and try to follow it from home. When i did it before i did extra easy and didn't really lose much weight at all. Thinking of doing the red days instead as i always lose weight easier on a low carb diet. Has anyone else done really well on red days? How much have you lost so far? Xx

You might be worth having a look in the diaries/food diaries subforums as there are several people who just do red/original days :) good luck. I'm the same - i lose better on green and original days but at the moment financial constraints are forcing me to do green :) but it's all good x

I do mainly red, with one day a week on EE (Sundays so that I can fit in the roast dinner lol) and I LOVE it - carbs are not my friends either weight wise or in terms of my ibs, so it suits me perfectly :)

I've had fantastic losses too - my personal view is that EE is great for starting out, especially if you have a lot to lose, but it can encourage overeating for some people (like me).

I stick to red days as much as possible as I find them more effective - it also helps keep any gains down if I do have any blips!

The only problem I have with red days is being inspired re: food. It can get a bit monotonous if you stick to bacon, eggs and chicken! I think I may need a red day recipe book!

I eat lots of variety Betty :)... my regular meals include Mediterranean roasted vegetables with salmon fillet, ratatouille with steak or chicken breast or fish, mixed salad with oven baked trout or mackerel or gammon, Chicken/Lean Lamb/Turkey curry with mashed swede and carrot/ cauliflower and broccoli / Brussels sprouts, Spag Bol with courgette ribbons, jacket baked butternut squash with savoury mince, stir fry with tinned kippers (sounds disgusting but tastes awesome!), gingered pork and vegetables served with beansprouts, cottage pie with carrot & swede mash/ mashed butternut squash as the topping, fish and vegetable curries served with steamed spinach and chopped French green beans, home made burgers served between lightly oven baked (large) field mushrooms ...

I love to get in the kitchen and just create something from whatever comes to hand :D

Wow that all sounds really nice! I tried making an SW curry once and it didn't turn out very well, so think i need to find a decent recipe.

The mediterranean roast veg and salmon sounds lovely, thanks for the inspiration!

I was gonna link to your diary, but as it's Gold then BettyBoo won't be able to access it yet - not enough posts x Sent from my GT-I9505 using MiniMins.com mobile app
