Hello! I'm new to Slimming World, and I'm "going it alone" (although not really - lots of helpful people!)
I've actually lost over 2st by low carb but it was getting boring and I lost focus.
A friend of my suggested this website and it seems like an awesome idea to keep a food diary, esp when "going it alone" people can tell me if I go wrong hopefully! ;)

Morning:
Coffee, 2 sweeteners & a splurge of milk = 1 syn (I know they state 1/2 a syn for a dash so I'm being extra careful)
& a disastrous attempt at egg on toast; 2 slices of "Warburton wholemeal 400g" (HexB) with ASDA's fat free fromage frais (I thought it was my Quark! Don't ask ) as a sub' for butter, 2 eggs and a few drips of Worcestershire sauce.

Lunch:
Brown rice with a chicken curry (Tinned tomatoes, Garlic, Onion, Curry Powder, Chilli Flakes, Chicken, Mushroom's, 1 tbsp desiccated coconut 4.5 syns)
- Couldn't get it to taste like a proper curry but it was okay.
A glass of Zero Sugar Dr Thunder (ASDA's brand of Dr Pepper)

1x Fat Free Muller Light Toffee Yogurt.

Dinner:
Wholemeal Pasta with Dr Thunder chicken (Tinned tomatoes, Chicken, 330ml Dr Thunder, Chilli Flakes, Spinach, 1 Onion, Mushrooms, Worcestershire Sauce.)
1 glass of Zero Sugar Dr Thunder.

Puds:
1/2 syn Roulade (4x eggs, 1 tsp baking powder, vanilla extracts, tub of quark, sweetener, raspberries & banana chopped.) 1/8 syn
- Didn't like it! :c

Total: 6 ish Syns.

Well done on a good start, everything looks good I think. When are you weighing in? :)

Alpine Light Choc & Fudge 4 1/2 syns for base.

Was this one of the new Alpen Lights? The less than 70 cal ones are only 3 syns each but I'm not sure about new ones. I do know they're changing them back to the original ones now though, thank God you can still have them as a HexB!

I just proper laughed at your egg on toast disaster, its like something i would do! Lol
good luck with the weightloss!

Have you been having your healthy A? I know you mentioned the milk but you synned it? :)

I'll happily share any recipes :) Although as I said on FB I'm allergic to coconut lol!

Ooooooh, comments :O
I'm still struggling with the HexA&B's, though today I had the milk & weetabix, yesterday though only HexB...
I seen a post that said you had to syn milk if you didn't use all of the 250ml(?) that day.. ( Which I'm also struggling with 'cos that means measuring it out daily for everything? )

Oh you're actually right about Alpine's Chipmunk, I seen a post stating otherwise, but after back-tracking I noticed the cal's are 89, and the one's I do have are indeed 70.

& Thank you TeePee, I don't think human's function very well in the morning! But I've always struggled with eggs, the yogurt was just a bonus *sobs*

You should really measure your milk everyday to ensure you dont go over your allowance. You should try your best to to have your healthy extras and have them all as its to ensure youre gettibg everything you need and the plan works best when you follow it properly. You dont have to syn it if you dont quite use your full allowance though :)

Oh really? that's cool then, I wasn't sure - I'm not likely to use all my daily allowance when it comes to milk but other HEX's I might so I'll be careful. :3

Also, a little note that might be helpful to you. A Hex can be split. For example., you're allowed 250ml of milk and 30g of cheese but you can split that through the day and have 125ml of milk and 15g of cheese :)

Omg really that's totally awesome, I didn't need to syn my cheese today then :O *does a dance*.

:) yay! Glad to help x

Well done on another great day :D

As you're doing it from home when are you weighing yourself? Have you chosen a specific weigh in day? I know sometimes it's tempting at home to weigh yourself every day but results can be really inaccurate as our weight fluctuates all the time due to water etc.

Yeah I get very tempted, I usually do weigh myself on a daily basis! But I'm keeping a diary of it every Tuesday, Melon said it would be a good idea to!

Haha love that you called me Melon. :p I don't mind you calling me by my name here XD I do post pics of my certs after all.. :p
And I just picked tuesday out of a hat because that's when I weigh

Well we can weigh in together then! huehue. You keep me motivated! ;D

& sorry then I'll call you by your name here! I just didn't know if you minded, plus confusion if she didn't know who I meant! ;D

I'm having to back-track and edit my bits & bobs, I think I've been using more than 250ml of milk on cereal alone! But it's 1%, so I'm gunna guess that 300ml can be used for HexA as 250m for semi and 350 for skimmed?..
So I'm gunna measure it now! 250ml for breakfast cereal and 50ml i'll leave so I have like tea/coffee allowance.. Meaning I had to go syn my cheeses! Not too bad though, only 1x so far I've peaked at 15 syns in total. >.<
