Has anyone gone on to slimming world after LL

Does anyone know of any people going on to SW after losing the weight on LL. I was thinking of doing the 100 days with LL then going on SW to lose the rest. I was wondering if you girls know if anyone has done this

I dont know of anyone and although I tried SW and thougt it was good if you are not a compulsive eater I would now be worried as it has lots and lost of free foods.

Theres a quite a number of people have gone from LL/CD and started SW or WW.

Might be worth checking the SW board :)

I've not gone from LL to anything but I have put some thought into this - I personally think that when I stop this and I need to lose pounds then I'll do WW ----- I just find the eating more structured on WW, less chance (for me) to go off the rails. I'm the master (or should that me mistress) of deceiving myself where food is involved so would put more on my plate with it being 'free'.

Once I come off this it's the Gillian McKeith method for me - what'll keep me on the straight and narrow is knowing that I don't ever want to get back to this size again - her philosophy of eating 90/10, that's 90% healthy, nutritious food, and 10% bad will allow for the occasional dessert if you go out for dinner, but that'll be all. If I do put on a few pound, it'll be a week or two of slimfast only. It's all down to willpower and knowing that you don't want to undo the hard work you've done to get slimmer in the first place!

Thanks girls, I only mentioned SW because I did it years ago and lost weight, however I was only 11.5 stone when I joined and it took me 5 months to lose 1stone 10. but saying that I will probably only have that to lose after my 100 days so might give it a try. Its not that I don't like LL its just I know that when the 100 days are up I wil probably be sick to death of the food packs so I'll just wait and see.

If you stop LL and go straight to SW without the RTM program you will put on weight to start with as well as all the glycogen. You could end up putting on up to a stone or more very quickly.
You really need to reintroduce food more gradually to allow your metabolism to come back up again.
The RTM program is designed so that once finished you don't need to follow the likes of SW and WW. It is basically low GI so isn't that much different to most healthy eating plans but you learn to regulate yourself rather than sticking to rules set down by WW or SW or whoever. Personally I wouldn't want to stick to something that rigid for the rest of my life, it isn't going to work.
I totally believe the RTM plan gives you the tools you need to guide you through life. It is working for me already after only 3 weeks and I can see how it is going to work.

If you don't want to lose all your weight using abstinence then you can go through RTM (which can be condensed so it doesn't take so long to get through) then either use LL (I think it is called rebalance) which is 2 foodpacks plus food to lose the rest at a reasonable pace (or you can do a month of abstinence again) or go onto another plan like SW, but seriously, having done WW myself and other plans I would say following the LL plan to the end is a better lifestlye. I want to be free of this dieting lark.

I would really seriously think about it before just switching.

If you only have 1.5 stones to lose after 100 days it will take you months to do that on SW (and probably longer as you will likely gain after the switch) on LL it is likely to take around 6 weeks.
I think there is far too much emphasis put on the 100 days as being the end. You need to focus on your own goals rather than a date.

Just my opinion though ;)

Thanks Ali, to be honest I was having a crap day yesterday and thinking of doing the packs for more than the 100 days was daunting. I believe in what you have to say, as your going through it now and you know the score. Its good to hear of someone on RTM then we can get a feel to what the road lies ahead. Feel good today, I think some weekends are worse than others sunday lunch and going out to eat but its not forever, thanks once again Ali your words of wisdom helps again

Hi Lola

Glad you are feeling better today.

The weekends can be really tough, I struggled through some of them.
There is an RTM board you will see at the top of this forum, there are a few of us going through RTM at the moment at different stages, so you can see our experiences in there. I think you will find most of it is very positive.
I warn you though, we do talk a lot about food ;)

Well done Lola, glad you are more positive, dont worry we all get days like that, but when you think of it we get days like that when we are not on LL;)

That is how I want to live too Corey - mostly good, but a little devilsh at times too - thats hwat life is all about ay! :)

And there is NO way - NO WAY - I am going to undo all the rewards of this diet. Never.

Its not so much the talking about eating its smelling that does me in. Yummy bread in the supermarket, but I think of the lemons and that helps. Having a way better day now, feel I'm becoming a wee bit addicted to this site it helps me through the day. And your right lady we do have normal bad days even when not on LL.
