Hi all,

Started this thread as wanted to keep a log of how I do with losing weight.

I have been trying to lose my excess weight for years, literally years, I always lose a bit, then put a bit back on, lose a bit, put a bit back on ...... ad infinitum.

I was doing Slimming World up until a few weeks back and initially, found it really good, losing 11lbs in the first 2 weeks but then stagnated. I think I got frustrated with always seemingly having to have the same foods and I also didn't like that exercise, of which I do quite a bit, isn't part of the plan, or at least can't be incorporated to 'earn' you rewards like it can on WW.

So, I'm back on WW and think the flexibilty of it, having tried SW, will really enable me to crack this thing.

I was 19st 2lbs this morning when I weighed myself and I am going on holiday in exactly 7 weeks so I want to be 17st SOMETHING by then. This would be the lightest I have been in living memory and I really, REALLY want to achieve it.

As mentioned I do quite a bit of exercise, I'm cycling 6 miles each way to work tomorrow and am going to go the long way home which should take it near to 20 miles for the day. I have even signed up for 8 'bootcamp' sessions which take place twice a week for the next month. Looking forward to them!

Decent day today, usually Friday's have been bad as I have been known to crack open the beers and have a few after work, but, no beer has passed my lips and I have cycled 20 miles. Pretty good friday all in all.
 
So, Week 1 and it's a 3lb loss, actually it's a 3.5lbs loss but we'll round it down to 3.

I've had a decent week as have cycled 30+ miles, walked 5+ miles and done a bootcamp session which was fun (I think) but has left me aching all over! I also had 20 activity points left which I didn't use.

This week is going to be a challenge as I'm on a stag do on Saturday. I am going to try to get in as much exercise as I can between now and then and then give myself a pint limit so I can stay on target.... Just 6 weeks to my holiday.
 
Was so tempted to eat some crap food tonight (all my colleagues at work had been talking about Pizza all day!) but I resisted, and I'm pleased I did. I actually ended the day with 8 unused pro points.

Well, this weekend has been a bit of a write off as a stag do on Saturday saw me go completely off piste, I had good intentions but it all went to pot. Oh well, I'm confident that with 3 full days left I can turn it round and post a loss. I aim to be doing lots of exercise and not using the activity points I gain.
 
Everyone needs to take a break for fun RL things every now and then! Good luck getting back on track for the rest of the week!

Well, I was very apprehensive about getting onto the scales this morning after the weekend I had. Along with the fact I'd gone over my allowance by 89 points (yep, thats EIGHTY NINE points) I was crapping myself, but, somehow, I have lost 1.5lbs which I am delighted with.

I think a big part of it was the fact that during and after the stag do on Saturday I kept point tracking and didn't, like I have done in the past, thought 'bugger it - I'll start again next week' and descend into several days of gluttony. I'm really happy that I did as I feel good now and that's 4.5lbs in 2 weeks.

The week ahead looks OK for me - we're away for the weekend and at a wedding on Saturday night but that should be manageable. I'll be doing my usual mix of cycling, running and walking so with 5 weeks left to holiday my aim of being 17st something.
 
Wow well done on losing that much when you had a stag do! That's really great :)

well done 1.5lbs off is fantastic. especially with the weekend you've had. You're well on track to getting to your 17stone something before you holiday. Keep it up x

Navigated Pieday friday well today and got let home an hour early so made the most of it and went the long way home and did a 16 mile bike ride. Gives me 'free' pint at the wedding tomorrow. :)

Wedding was good thanks, although I was home at 10pm! Getting old!

Amazingly I have stayed within my points this weekend, albeit just, so if I can just stick to my dailys between now and thursday I should post another loss. Fingers crossed.
 
Well done on sticking to your points at a wedding! Social events are so hard to navigate safely LOL. I'll be waiting to read what loss you post this week :D

Glad you enjoyed the wedding even if you left at 10pm (weddings are such long days). Well done on sticking to your points allowance, I am sure it wasn't easy. Good luck for weigh in on Thursday, but by the sound of things you don't need any luck you're doing so well without it x
