Hi everyone

I'm starting my diary to record what i eat as I'm sure I'm doing it all wrong so if anyone can jump in with help and suggestions id be very grateful

breakfast. Benefit choc n fudge bar and large portion of blueberries
mid day snack. Benefit summer fruit bar
lunch. 3slices bacon with tomatoes and mushrooms fried in fry light
afternoon snack...orange muller light with strawberries
dinner. Salmon steak with onion and mushrooms and tomatoes fried in fry light

i have never eaten so much fruit...did a shop on sat morning and bought strawberries, grapes, cherries, blueberries etc and have eaten nearly all of them over the weekend while watching telly..in my head this cant be good as i was previously on phase 1 of the zoe harcombe diet which says no fruit as its full of sugar and I'm thinking this can't be right i am eating wayyyy too much sugar to be healthy? Is limitless fruit really ok? I don't like salad stuff at all other than tomatoes which i can only tolerate grilled or fried not raw...and am not keen on vegetables other than onions and mushrooms ..i do add mushy peas and baked beans to meals sometimes as well though but they arent superfree so i don't know what else to add?

Add more blueberries to my afternoon snack list....just back from the hospital with a fractured bone in my foot....no exercise for me for a few weeks

Hey :)

Ouch to the foot! Hope you are soon on the mend!
Re fruit- I know what they say about sugar but I tend to think of it as 'natural' sugar if that makes sense, not like processed sugars. When people compare fruit to chocolate and claim the sugar is the same it just doesn't register in my logic- and at least from the fruit you are gaining vitamins and healthy fibre! Though its important not to be hungry, try not to graze on it just because you can- eat only when hungry, stop when full etc.
I keep roasted veggies in the fridge- snack on them cold or hot and add them to meals for bulk and super free. Have you tried roasting things like carrot, pepper, sweet potato, parsnips? I was really fussy with veg until I tried the same veg cooked differently e.g I wouldn't and still wont eat a boiled carrot but roasted I eat them instead of chips!
Also you can grate veg into your curries/pasta sauces- this way you get your super free without really noticing it, and food goes further.
Couldn't agree more re raw tomatoes- just wrong!

Thx rosie that is really helpful....i do need to stop grazing and cut down portion sizes

Great advice

amd i will try snacking on some veg instead of fruit for a bit of variety too

Have raided the fridge and found peppers onions etc to roast today and keep in the fridge chilled.beats throwing it all out and not eating it as well as being healthy

Sounds good! I hate food waste lol. A couple of sprays of fry light and a bit of salt makes it go crispy. Sometimes I sprinkle on those dried Italian herbs too x

Breakfast 2 benefit light bars HEB
lunch 2egg omelette with laughing cow triangles HEA and tomatoes and mushrooms

dinner will be cod with some of my new roasted veggies and maybe some mushy peas!!

I hate waste too but thats how i gained all the weight eating the left overs!!! Some herbs sounds a great addition are they syn free?

Omelette was yummy good to have my hea incorporated for once as i dont really enjoy just eating them but there is nothing else i can have as i dont do milk

Ahh it's a vicious circle! I bought some Tupperware from ikea and try not to eat past full, but its easily done.
Herbs are free- all spices etc too. Just be careful with packet mixes- they are often synned as they can contain flour, but most are easy enough to replicate!
