Extra Easy Eating Anything?

Hi guys,

I am very new to slimming world and am following the extra easy plan - I have read through the website etc and am sticking too it well so fdar however I cant help but think I am missing something here. What I have picked up is:

  • You can eat as much of the free foods as you would like
  • stick to between 5-15 syns per day
  • eat healthy extras every day

A couple of things I am not sure of though:
  • What is the balance between food, or is there not any? e.g can all meals just be free or should they include this mysterious 'superfree' that I have heard of but do not have a clue what includes
  • Should you have a set number of meals per day or just eat when hungry?

Also just a query - does anyone ever feel hungry on this diet? I have eaten well today and had a babybel light and cereal bar about an hour ago but now feel SO hungry.

Thanks in advance guys! I would love to understand this more as I cant make it to classes and the website can be hard to find what you're looking for on.

Super free are most of the vegetables, so salad stuff, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, green beans etc. When you have a meal, 1/3 of your plate should be superfree. So if you were having, say, spaghetti bolognese, you should have a salad with it or add veg to the sauce. Peas and corn, like potatoes and rice, aren't superfree though, so you can't count them in your 1/3 of a plate, they're just regular free.

Also fruit is superfree but only fresh or frozen, not canned. And not blended, purreed, cooked though you can do this to veg

The 1/3 superfree element is there to naturally limit the amount of free food you eat so isnt in addition to (for example is you had just meat and potato you would eat more of them than if you had a pile or carrots and brocolli with it)

You should also try to snack on superfree (an apple rather than a muller) but if you really want a muller then have one

You eat to satisfy your appetite which is hard at first as we tend to finish whats on our plates?!

Thank you :)
I don't have any books as I'm using the online service and find the website hard to find info! Thanks guys :)

Do HEA and HEB have to be eaten at meal times or is it ok to,have them on their own as snacks?

Yes, you can have the HEX's as snacks or as part of a meal, whatever suits you.

Thats a good point as I am always using mine as snacks especially because the cereal bars fit in well with my travelling.

The cereal bars are a godsend to me...i can spread them out across the day when its a long work day with travelling..normally that when i grab the bad stuff as ive missed meals due to meetings and graze on trains!!!
