Hi all,

as of tomorrow i may have to stop doing the LL programme for a while. I wont bore you with details but the main reasons are financial. Im hoping to get back on the programme at the end of the month. Does anybody know if i would be able to go strainght back on or would i have to get all my checks done again with GP? Im going to see my LLC tomorrow but would like a wee bit of help with this off you lot 1st. Im kinda embaressed with it being financial you see. Sowwie for rambling and your advice and help to me have been invaluable. Hope to be back soon!

Lisa xx:(

I have thought about it yes but i like the idea of the counselling. (trust me i need it!) :D I also like the LL setup. Maybe im daft really but im used to it now and i like to stick to what i know. (im an old fashioned stick in the mud!)

Sorry to hear you're having to stop, I really wouldn't worry about talking to your LLC as I'm sure she'll understand. I'm not sure whether you'd have to get your checks done again but I doubt it - I know you don't if you go back at any time after having completed foundation but am not sure about whether that's the case if you haven't.

Try and stick to some kind of diet while you're away as that will give you less to lose when you do come back and as Rowan says stick around Minimins as that will probably help you along.

Best of luck xx

Its just my opinion but i find doing LL cheaper and easier to cope with than buying normal food. Here are some advantages for me...
1) I would easily spend 66 pounds on food and drink in a week overall.
2) you know the exact amount you are spending each week and can work around it(instead of buying in dribs and drabs)
3) Its serving 3 purposes losing weight, feeding you and giving you tutoring on food.(again this is a bargain)
4) will benefit you economically in the long term, due to not as much food needed when you are thinner.
5) If you did a part time job e.g at a bar. two nights of the week you could afford lighter life with this money.
6) You have started there is no point in having to spend the money nd time in getting it all set up at a later day?

Like i said this is my thought process on the issue and may help you in continuing on the course?

I,m sure you had good intentions with your reply to this ladys dilema but to tell someone you don;t know to go out and get part time work was a little bit insensitive. I,m sure she knows that getting part time work would make her financially able to afford this but we don't know her predicament.

Its not so much just the cost of the diet. I have a 7mnth old daughter to feed and clothe and also my partner lost his job last month. Another thing is im going back to work tomorrow which means my maternity pay stops as of then and i wont be paid till the end of the month at the earliest. Now do you see my quandry?

I do LL, but don't see why you have to explain yourself. Choosing Lighter life is all about choices and you shouldn't have to explain yourself. Good luck in whatever you choose in the future.

hope you dont regret it, because doing food abstinence dieting is not easy, and you have started so well. what ever you do, just keep on losing weight love highheels xx

LLV - sounds like a tough situation for you. If you have to stop for awhile, while you get yourselves sorted (I know how trying a time it is when one is out of work....) then that's what you need to do. You have a full plate by the sound of it! (no pun intended ;)). But don't make it goodbye!

Still come round here and check in and chat! Maybe follow just a low calorie diet on your own to maintain your good start - and in the mean time keep reading and writing posts, keeping your focus in the forefront. We'll all be here for ya!!

Whatever you decide, all the best luck to you!!

Really tough decision LL and I'm sure you'd rather not be in this position. I wish you all the best on your return to work and hope things improve for you financially very soon. Whatever you do, just know we are all here :)

LL is there any chance that you could afford to do Cambridge? Just thinking that if you think you can do this diet without the counselling then that really is the way to go, you'll get just as brilliant results from that.

Hope you get sorted xx

Dont worry about it doll.. we all go through financial stretching times.. I would try to stay low carbish for when you can come back to it just to try to minimise the headaches etc.. but as rowan said stick around the site.. we dont mind if your doing LL or whatever.we just want YOU on the site.. we're here to help.. and give you lots of support if you ever need it..

Loadsa of love and hugs
