New to SW and Minimins

Hi guys

I've just joined SW online and looking for support. I have virtually half my bodyweight to loose!

I tried SW meetings and really didn't enjoy my local one, and the timings for the other local ones were useless. Cant commit to a regular meeting anyway, so best to do online (and avoid naming and shaming when you put on..or having to pay when you simply cant attend def not for me)

Last year I was in the 'zone' I was on ww, I lost 2.5st for my wedding and I was doing fab.......but then I got fed up of tracking, got v lazy and went and put it all back on (and a bit more on top). Too embarrassed to return to my WW group or another local one (my meeting card would show it all), plus fed up of tracking.

SW seems good.. have just started. It does feel a bit like tracking though.. lots free stuff... but counting syns and healthy As and Bs.
I will succeed this time! I think these diets all work as you are more mindful of what you are eating, and choosing more sensible options.

I know how you feel with how much you have to lose :) I started my journey off at 25st 12lbs, and a healthy weight for me would be about 10/11st!

It's really easy to keep track once you're used to it. :) I had to keep a food diary for the first few weeks. (went off plan 2nd week because of pizza and ice cream and too much naughty stuff in general, lol!)

I've created a food diary here, now. It's so I can look back if I have a good week and copy it again if I want to have such a big loss again, and it's just lovely having so much support from people here. (they're a lovely bunch!)

The general rule I have for myself is fill up on super free first and then free. And if I fancy something sweet just syn it. (Or looks for syn free recipes online)

wow.. 9lbs loss in the first week.. that amazing. I've lost 5lbs roughly the first week I did WW and the first week I did SW.. so will be interesting to see how I do this time around
 
I had about 1/2 super free with all meals my first week. Bolognese with tons of veg, roasted veg, veg soups.. :)

Something you may like, Fake (although they taste better) chicken shish kebabs.
WW wholemeal pitta is hexb, chicken just grill on a griddle (I add some salt pepper and herbs though. And asda grilled chicken seasoning.) and chuck in sliced peppers, onions, cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes (whatever veg you like).. and it tastes just like a normal chicken shish!
And if you want some garlic mayo, 2 table spoons of lighter than light mayo with one crushed clove of garlic mixed in tastes right, and the lighter than light mayo is 0.5 syns for one table spoon so just 1 syn for the whole meal (or 7 if not using the pitta as healthy b)
