SW and Carb Cycling

Hi I am restarting SW after a break of over a year where I just faffed about! I have read alot about carb cycling, basically where you do 4 or 5 protein days a week with 2 or 3 carb days a week...it is meant to be super healthy and really good for weight loss. As this is basically red/green SW, I thought thats what I would do. Anyone else doing this and is it working well for you? I would love to hear. Thanks all

I guess I am sort of doing that. I have low carbed with great success in the past but also love the versatility of slimming world. Lots of people do alternative between red and green days. I try to have one red meal a day, usually dinner, as I find if I eat carbs at three meals a day I just don't lose. The consultant will say it isn't the carbs, and to trust the plan but there is no escaping the science of it. We might not count carbs on this diet but they still exist and so does all the research into the effect of too many carbs on weight loss success!

I dont agree that it isn't the carbs. Everyone is different. I have a thyroid condition and I cannot metabolise carbs and I have friends who have fibroids and PCOS that are exactly the same. I can stick to plan 100% but if I eat loads of carbs I will not lose, and sometimes I even gain. But if I keep my carbs low, and have red days, I always lose. This week I had a small measure of carbs every other day and red days on the days I didn't and in 2 weeks I lost 3 1/2 Ib's.

Consultants just are not qualified to say, it isn't the carbs, because it could be.
