ProPoints 5 stone to lose-my 1st (& hopefully only) WW Journey

Hi everyone,

I'm nearing 30 & have a 3 year old. Prior to getting pregnant I fluctuated at between 10-11 stone. I gained around 5 stone when pregnant. I've lost a bit the last few years but can't seem to stick to it.
I really don't want to be a frumpy 30 year old!!

I had a c section so most of my weight is on my stomach, I still look about 7 months pregnant!! I'm going to be using my cross trainer and Josie gibson DVD too.

I started class yesterday so my weigh in day is Monday. This is my first time on pp so hopefully doing it right.

My class wasn't what I expected, there was no slimmer of the week and leader didn't go round the group asking what ppl had lost that week etc, which is what happens at SW. Does that not happen at WW ?

Starting weight - 14st 7lbs
Daily Propoints - 31


Tuesday

Breakfast - porridge (3)
Lunch - ham salad (2)
Cheese curls (2)
Afternoon snack - cucumber & peppers
Tea - pasta with bacon, green beans & passata (14)
Evening snack - crumpet with butter (3)
Semi skimmed Milk through your the day (7)

Total - 31 PP/ 0 Weeklies

I'm out for an all you can eat italian on Friday so I'n saving all my weeklies for then, I won't be eating loads and loads but I will be having a bottle of wine so reckon my daily & weekly (80 points) should cover me for 1 bottle of wine , food @ meal & food earlier in the day.

Hello and Welcome :) I've not been to a SW Meeting but I've heard that WW are very different so guess that's what it is? I had a csection too so know how u feel, it's horrendous isn't it! Loving the sound of Eat as much as you like Italian, hopefully there will be plenty of 0pp salad to pick on? X

Ww are definetly quicker but I much prefer that!
Just had my second weigh in and have sts so need to be more focused this week.
The italian was lovely! Had a pasta dish if tagliatelle, blue cheese and broccoli ..yum!
Yeah I hate the c section belly!! Still look 7 months pregnant at the min ! X
 
Second week weigh in - 14st 3
I lost 4lbs first week then stayed the same second week. Think it's cos I had half points & half filling & healthy and got confused !!

Your pasta dish sounds scrummy even tho I don't like blue cheese! Wk 2 is hard, onwards to WK3! Do u have any outings planned this week? X

I'd never had blue cheese before but now a fan!
Yeah I always struggle with week 2 :(
It's my partners birthday this weekend so I'm cooking him a meal, I'm thinking ww friendly bruschetta & bacon & green bean pasta in tomato sauce. And I'm going to make him a white chocolate cake (another ww dish) then we're having a BBQ the next day but illbe able to make up some healthy stuff. What bout you ? X

Hi sorry for late reply! The cake was on the weight watchers website.

Have gone down from 14st 7 to 13st 10.5 so I'm very happy !! Can't believe I've stuck to ww for a month now, I'm really loving it !
 
I have my 6th weight watchers weigh in tomorrow, weighed 13st 12.5 last weigh in so I'm really hoping for 13st 11 tomorrow which will give me my 5% & 10lbs lighter than I was 6 weeks ago.
I had a mini meltdown last night as I'm not losing as much as I want to, my losses have being as follows

Start weight 14st 7
Week 1 14st 3
Week 2 sts
Week 3 13st 13
Week 4 13st 12.5
Week 5 sts

So after googling 'how to speed up weight loss ' etc I came to the realisation that I can do two things
1) carry on having treats such as the odd low alcohol beer & healthiest option takeaway & lose around 1.5 lbs a week
2) be really strict, lose more but then fail

It's my friends wedding end of December and I am a bridesmaid and want to look my best. So I worked out if I lost 1.5 lbs a week on average I'd be 11st 3 for her wedding. I looked at old photos of me at that weight and I actually look quite good. So I'm going to carry on what I'm doing and work towards 11st 3 instead of 9 etc.
 
Hi, here to follow. It's good you are enjoying ww as that's half the battle if you can enjoy food and still lose weight. I started on propoints in February and absolutely love the diet. Do you use all of your 49 weeklies each week? You're doing great so far so keep up the good work!

Yeah I'm really enjoying it! It's helps that I love cooking and eating different things.

Sunday

B - fruit & ww yoghurt (1pp)
L - bacon (1pp), 2 hash browns (4pp)
T - bacon & green bean pasta (11pp)

150ml Skimmed milk (1pp)

Total so far 18pp

Not sure if I'll have anything else to eat as it's weigh day tomorrow...just bought a lovely bottle of cava but I'm really trying to hold off & have some tomorrow after weigh in.

I'm an ex-SW member and find the WW meetings so different. I find them less personal and quite scripted compared to the SW groups. I much prefer the WW plan but I'm not keen on the meetings so I'm going to quit them and just do it online.
Sounds like you're doing really well- having a life and losing weight is such a fine balance but you seem to have it cracked!
