Hi Maria, they are great gadgets, i love mine. You can use frylight for syn free chips, and i would spray the chips before putting them into the fryer however frylight is not the best for crispy chips. You can use normal oil and syn it at 6 syns per tablespoon, which is not bad if your sharing them. Ive found the best oil is the crisp and dry solid block, melted first, then coat the chips before adding them to the fryer. Also to make sure the potatoes are fully dry before using any oil put them in the fryer for two minutes to dry them fully. Hope this helps. p.s. frylight is only free when sprayed, not poured.
