Hi all, not my first visit here but unfortunately couldn't find my old account details, although that might be a good thing seeing as i got a bit too snap happy with the progress photos last time lol. So, i decided to start afresh and hopefully benefit from the motivation this forum gave me last time.

Im back doing Cambridge after a long break and seeing my weight steadily creep up and up to the point where I'm no longer comfortable with what i see in the mirror, so I'm stocked up with soups, shakes and porridge and just about to set off to work, with a rumbling tummy (or is that the thunder?) for my second day.

Wish me luck :wave_cry:

Well, if ever there was a test of willpower I'm in the middle of it now! The sandwich van has just been to work and I'm sat in a room with 7 guys eating bacon sandwiches whilst I slurp in a filtered water. Eeeeek must be strong must be strong

Oh that's hard!! Especially in the first few days!! In a couple of weeks time that won't bother you in the slightest but must be absolute torture right now! Stay strong and keep busy!!

I'm pleased I didn't cave in but I can't wait till the hunger pangs subside. In the meantime I'll keep my head down and keep on with the water.

Met my kids at my folks house tonight as i do every wednesday as they come and stay over and whilst sat there chatting away i was horrified to realise i'd eaten 3 chocolate biscuits!!!!!!!! complete auto pilot, took myself to one side and gave myself a stern talking to. I would have smacked my legs but i was worried i might like that too much! :p

Just really shocked at how i did it without thought!

Well 10.40, just about 1l of water down and I've just realised I've not had my first shake yet, not sure if that's a good thing or not tho.

I guess it's a good thing! Means you're coping ok! Shame about the biccies last night but amazing how hard it can be to break our habits, it's so ingrained in us we just don't know we're doing it! You're doing really well :)

Thanks for the reply soph :) I was wondering about not leaving The first shake till later on as I'd heard your metabolism doesn't really kick in until you have had your first "meal" but I guess that will be only until I drag myself kicking and screaming into ketosis.

Just about to have shake no2 and then I've got the pleasure of the gym to look forward to later.

Go easy at the gym! You're on very little calories

Gym not too bad, again, easing myself back into it gently... It's quite disheartening to see how far back I've fallen, whilst I've never been remotely skinny i used to do a fair bit of running and played a lot of rugby, I'm hoping the improvements in fitness will spur me on even more.

Just had a chilli soup for lunch, struggling a little with the water but still managed 1.5l so far so should still get to 2.5l before tonight. Think I may have a cheeky jump on the scales tomorrow morning.

Well hello day 4, awake fairly early with a bit of a headache. But I'm putting that down to " only" drinking 2.5 l of h2o yesterday.

I've always struggled at the weekend so going to need to try extra hard to be good. But mentally I'm in a good place so hoping for a positive couple of days. X
