SW + 30 Day shred = skinny me?

Hello!

I'm new to Minimins but looking for a way to get me back on track. I lost almost 3 stone after having my little boy with SW, but since becoming a target member I have fallen into bad habits and back to binge eating on rubbish (I have a VERY unhealthy relationship with food).

I am, however, determined to get back on the wagon. I have a toddler and a baby so getting to group each week is hard. I'm hoping that by posting on here, I'll find the encouragement I would otherwise have received at group. I'm also going to do the 30 day Shred DVD each day to see if that helps. It has great reviews and I like the fact it's a short term goal.

So I shall post my food diary and update you all on how the 'Shred' is going, and hopefully in 30 days I'll be half a stone lighter and nice and toned. Fingers crossed! x

I've seen a lot of people showing good results from the 30 day shred with SW on facebook so goodluck to you! I downloaded it about a week ago but due to personal circumstances not been able to start it. Slightly bricking it also heard it can be really demanding and I hadn't realised how unfit I had gotten till I started SW! Hope you get the results you're after x

Hi Cakepop!

Firstly, congratulations on your initial weight loss :)

I'm glad to see you found us in the 30 DS thread in the sub forums. I think you have set yourself a good and realistic goal of losing half a stone over the 30 days. Don't be alarmed if you stall or the scales go up initially as you build muscle. They will drop back down.

If you haven't already, I would definitely recommend that you take your inches before starting the shred and record them again afterwards.

I'll keep my eye out for your diary too. Good luck :) x

When you feel ready to start the shred, join the thread in the sub forums.

The good thing with the 30DS is that there are two different people to follow who demonstrate the workout at different levels of intensity. You will be really surprised at how quickly you build up your endurance each day.

You don't necessarily have to go straight in and complete the full workout. Each level is split into a warm up, 3 x 3-2-1 blocks of exercise which focus on strength, cardio and abs, followed by a cool down. You could work in to the DVD by doing the warm up, one block, cool down, then warm up, two blocks and cool down until you feel ready to complete a full level and count your 30 days from there. :)

Hope to see you over in the 30 DS thread one day x

Hi Hayley. I'll keep you updated with my shredding! Did the first work out last night and my toddler ended up joining me. She was really funny and kept gasping for breath (to mimic me - not because she was tired), I also had my husband and baby watching. It will definitely NOT be a family event any more! The workout wasn't as horrendous as I thought it would be (although walking up the stairs was a bit of a challenge). Let me know when you start and we'll keep each other company x

Thanks for the tip Evolet! I'm going to take measurements today ...and possibly photographs if I can bring myself to capture my cellulite on camera:cry:x

Definitely join the shred Bumblebee! I've just googled 30 day shred results and there are some very inspirational before and after photos. You can get level 1 on you tube (I think) but it's only £5 on amazon x
