changing diets counts as a defeat?!

just a little background story at the beginning: I started cambridge diet program 6 weeks ago and been really good and committed to the diet for the last four weeks (total lost 10 lb). any way although with all the weight loss I wasn't feeling good (emotionally & physically) so I decided maybe CD is not for me and starting from tomorrow I will gradually change the diet and within the next four week I'll be moving to the calories count diet. but of course I will not change it suddenly so I would not gain any of the weight lost.

ok what surprised me the most is how people reacted when I told them my plan, most of them acted like I'm giving up on losing weight and they were disappointment with me. ok we all can say do what makes you feel good and not care about what other people say but in reality in the journey of losing weight we need support. so that's why I'm writing in here, to get the support from people who went throw what I'm talking about or still going throw it now. I hope I didn't bore you with all this long story but I really felt like talking and I feel like in here I would be understood the most.

at the end did anyone changed his diet from cambridge or any VLCD to another one weather it's the counting calories or diet watcher or whatever??? and what tips you can give me?

Hi Hala :) I haven't done Cambridge (only have done WW and SW in the past) but wanted to say, I think you are totally doing the right thing changing if you aren't feeling good on Cambridge.

We all have to find a healthy eating plan which works for us. Something we can live with and feel good doing. It varies from person to person what fits best with their lifestyle.

I have seen lots of people in the past also being negative when someone changes plan but this isn't about them - only you. I really hope you find calorie counting suits you and makes you feel fantastic. Wishing you all the very best xxxx

Absolutely agree with Marie - we're all in this for the long haul and we need to find something that we can do *that doesn't feel like we're depriving ourselves*. Otherwise? Well, we won't stick at it - we've all been there in the past!

So you haven't failed. How can you have failed? You've tried something, lost some weight, but decided you can't keep it up so you're looking for something else. Failing would be abandoning all thought of losing more weight and eating what you like. From what I can see, that's not what you're doing. Keep it up!

Stick the others love. Surely they'd rather have you experiment and make sure that you have the right one for you rather than become ill or have one that doesn't work?!

I know we need support (and you have it here lovely :) ) but when finding something that works for you it's completely your decision!
