I only started slimming world last week and haven't done any exercise, apart from the usual walks here and there, because I've been really busy. After the next couple of weeks my time should free up a bit but I'm unsure what to do.
I used to go jogging every evening but I didn't see much result of it.
then I tried insanity which is intense but I always end up giving up because I get too busy to do it.
i want to find something simple I can do in little time, like maybe some kind of challenge: sit ups, squats etc but what really works?
I'd be interested to hear what other people's exercise routine is for inspiration?

I just make sure I walk every day! Since November, I have been walking to work 2 days a week- it's roughly 3 miles each way. On a Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon, I will also go for quite a long walk. On the other days, I walk quite briskly for about 40 minutes after work. I'm lucky because time really isn't an issue for me as Idon't have children and my working hours are regular. I basically walk whenever I can because I can do it when I want and it can be done in all weathers. Exercies classes/gyms etc leave me cold.

I love walking. I especially love it at night, sometimes when we're free my boyfriend and I take long walks late at night in whichever direction we fancy. It's fun, we visited west Kirby beach last week and walked to the islands, that was a brilliant walk!
I really need to free up some time to do things like this more often!

Walking ..I walk the dog x 2 daily for a total of 2-3miles ..longer at weekends x Just started back at swimming .

I go to classes at the local gym. Bums tums and thighs 3 times a week (all totally different in their structure) and Pilates twice a week. I LOVE Pilates.

If I'm feeling brave and energetic I so about 40mins cardio in the gym then 10 mins on the rowing machine

I've also bought boxing pads and gloves as I LOVED boxercise but my class was cancelled so now I get hubby to hold the pads while I punch away. Great to have indoors for the odd 10 minute burst!

A skipping rope is also a good thing to have if you have a garden. A few quick bursts a day gets your heart rate and your metabolism going.

Love the skipping rope idea! :)
I used to go running regularly with my boyfriend and friend and we're starting again tonight! So hopefully it will boost my weight loss, or at least get me fit! :)

I think C25K is the way forward for someone starting to exercise. That's how I started running, which led to entering races which then led to the need to get some cross training in... which overall led me to enjoy exercise, reap the benefits in terms of my shape and energy levels and also develop a new hobby!

I never used to do anything and now I do quite a lot and feel so much better for it. I really notice when I don't do it.

I do two set classes a week - a boxing class on a Monday night, a pilates class on a Wednesday night and then around that I usually do 2-3 spin classes, some running etc. At the min I am training for a half marathon so I've had to ease off on spin and focus a lot more on the running. My weeks are currently looking a lot like this;

Mon - cross training (boxing class/swimming/weights/30DS if I'm feeling lazy)
Tues - short run
Wed - cross training (spin in the morning, pilates after work)
Thurs - short run
Fri - rest (I am a bit naughty and do a spin class in the morning sometimes too)
Sat - long run
Sun - rest

I also have a weighted hula hoop, hand weight dumbells and a skipping rope at home for if I'm feeling a bit bored/lazy/inspired to do something and would use these quite a bit too.

Currently on day 8 of the 30 day ab challenge too! xx

I have zumba on the xbox which is good.

If you want ideas of something to try at home, you tube has loads of workout videos on there! There's some of the jillian michaels ones on there.

The thing I'm finding with exercise is I have to make the time to do it otherwise I won't. So trying to fit it in with my lifestyle doesn't work for me - my lifestyle is lazy and if given the choice I'll try to keep it that way!!

Hi,

I've recently returned to slimming world last week, I have it done it previously so know the plan like he back of my hand!

my exercise routine is 4 sessions a week for half an hour doing circuit training at the gym, a weekly boxercise class, weekly Zumba class and a weekly spinning class... Really loving it and starting to notice changes already!
