Thickening sauces

Hi all,

I'm wondering how you might thicken a sauce in a SW friendly way? Or should I just use cornflour and water and syn it?

Our consultant mentioned cauliflower rice which is basically grated cauliflower but thickens up sauces. Not had the opportunity to try it yet though!
 
Smash would be synned if using it in this way so you would have been just as well using cornflour. proper potato, lentils or rice work as they are starchy, or an egg yolk, or just cranking up the heat and stirring until thickened :)
