Attempt number 922!

Hi Everyone,
I have been around here a number of times and now I'm back.... attempt number 922 (or at least that's how it feels)

So, a bit about me...
My name is Annette... but you can call me Nettie, I'm 29 and live near Manchester.
I live with my wonderful OH Ste who is self employed and my 2 gorgeous children- Tyler aged 10 and Holly aged 7
I work for a Children's Charity- The Children's Society- and manage 2 Sure Start Children's Centres

I'm here again because I am stuck in my usual fat rut and know that this is the best place to come for support and motivation- I am rubbish at sticking to this new life style malarkey but have had a little bit of a wake up call as my big brother had a stroke 2 weeks ago at the age of 39 and my dad has been diagnosed with COPD (not that I smoke but its hit me about being generally healthy)

My OH is feeling uncomfortable with his weight so we will be doing this together.

So time for the embarrassment... my current weight is 17st 8lbs. I am disgusted with myself and I really need to do it this time. I can't continue my life like this. I feel sick when I look in the mirror, I hate meeting new people and I feel embarrassed when I go out with friends and I constantly feel that my OH must be so ashamed of me. I get myself into a comfort eating state and it's time I take note of my head in realising that food is not the answer.

Tomorrow is the start.... Attempt number 922 is on :)

I look forward to chatting to you all x

Hi Nettie, I hope this time is last time you'll need to lose weight! :) I echo your sentiments in the last paragraph. I was/am so fed up with myself and the situation I'd put myself in, that I'm ready to give weight loss my all so that I no longer feel ashamed and unsociable. x

No need for embarrassment. .you have picked yourself up 921:times bloomin marvellous achievement in my books..you go girl this could be the time you succeed x

good evening... well day 2 and so far so good.

Yesterday I had a red day:
Breakfast- fruit salad (water melon, orange, grapes, pineapple and mango)
Lunch- ham, egg, lettuce, tomato, carrot, celery, cucumber
Tea- egg, bacon and 2 slices of whole meal toast (HEX B)
Snacks- 2 snack a jacks (5 syns) 2 shape yoghurts
Drinks- 2 cups of coffee, 2 cups of mint and spice tea, 500ml of water
Gym- 20 minutes on bike, 10 minutes on rowing machine, 10 minutes on cross trainer, 10 minutes on tread mill and 10 minutes of weights.

Today I have had an extra easy day:
Breakfast- Fruit salad and shape yoghurt
Lunch- chicken, lettuce, celery, cucumber, onion, tomatoes and pitta bread (HEX B)
Tea- jacket potato, salad, chicken, mayonnaise (4 syns) and coleslaw (4 syns)
Snacks- 2 snack a jacks (5 syns)
Drinks- 2 cups of coffee, 1 litre of water, 1 cup of green tea with pomegranate
Gym- no gym tonight

It feels so good when I am on plan and I have a new incentive... we are booking a holiday to a water park hotel next year. It will be the first time we have taken the kids abroad and I'm not going at this size!
I was thinking of setting some goals today but have decided that I am just going to aim for 1lb per week for the next 12 months. 52lbs would be 3.5 stone and I would be happy with that... slow and steady wins the race and all that!
Hope everyone is having a good week so far :) xx

day 3... and all is good. Feeling very positive, had a sneaky weigh in and all is looking good.
Can't go to the gym tomorrow as my OH is going out so I will have the kids, will do a kettle bell workout at home.

So food etc today- Extra easy
Breakfast- nothing as I went straight into a meeting at work
Lunch- wholemeal toast, tinned spaghetti and cheese. Apple and Satsuma
Tea: bacon and mushroom omelette, cappuccino mullerlight
Drinks: 1 litre of water, 3 cups of coffee

Good morning everyone- well I've been a bit rubbish at writing on here but today is weigh in day....

I had a few mishaps over the weekend so wasn't feeling very confident as I stepped onto the dreaded scales!

However, I am absolutely over joyed to tell you that I have had a loss of 6lbs!!
I have worked so hard at the gym during the week and even done some floor exercises at home- I'm sure that's really helped... oh and lots of water!

Hope everyone has had a good week :)

Subscribing to your diary. Good luck on your journey, you sound so positive which is great :) well done on your 6 pound loss, amazing.

Thank you- I have had so many previous attempts and been so wrapped up in the worrying about having one thing which isn't on plan but with a full time job, 2 children and I also make and sell handmade items I am constantly busy, if I have a mishap or haven't had time to sit down and plan my week then I need to be able to just accept it and get back on the wagon instead of just giving up :)

Oh hello, nice to see you again!!! x

Well done on the 6 pound loss
