Football fat to football fit

Bonjour,

Firstly, I don't know why I've begun this thread with bonjour because I'm as far from French as you can possibly be. In fact the closest I've got to being French is that I'm no stranger to a packet of French Fries (yes, I'm aware these aren't actually French either and just a name but work with me here people).

Anyway, last Monday I decided that I was going to start following the Slimming World plan from home. As much as I would like to go to the meetings, there's none in my area that are in the evening so that has gone out the window. My substitute for that is this forum and the lovely members here.

As the title states, my goal (if you understand football, you'll appreciate what I did there) is to go from being a fat footballer to a fit football and gaining all the wonderful health advantages that come along with my weight loss. So a little about me:

Gender: Male
Age: 24 years old
Current weight: 20st 6lbs
Goal: Undecided, let's see how we go

So, there we go :)

I'm going to be using this to list my daily intake as well as thoughts about all things weight loss related and probably my life in general.

Anyway, I won't go on too much just yet, if this diary is successful I expect a lot of you will be sick of me soon enough but whilst you're here let's party!

Take it easy

Chris

Hi mate,

Great to see another chap here. Sounds like i'm in a near identical boat to you, too .... a big fat oil tanker, probably.

Will look forward to watching your progress. I am only my 2nd week of the plan at home and it's been good so far.

Good luck!

P.s. Who do you support?!

Phew. Was dreading you'd say M*n U*d. I'm a Leeds United fan. Awful season, glad it's over.

Not sure I like Pearce though. Think a man with managerial experience of that league is needed. It'll sure be interesting. Anyway, bring on the world cup! Can't wait!

Morning people,

Today is Monday and the start of another working week but as it's bank holiday I'm off so all is good, I'll take a free day off any day!

Jumped on the scales this morning for my official 1 week weigh-in and I'm pleased to say I've lost 6 1/2 lbs. very happy with that and I'm back under the 20 stone mark.

Onwards we go!

Chris

Thats excellent mate, well done.

Thanks both.

I'm feeling pretty good about myself at the moment.

Had football training last night, worked quite hard and was managing to keep up with most of the drills which I was happy with.

Game on Sunday so fingers crossed I've impressed over the previous weeks.
