I know this might sound silly but can you eat too much ? I am struggling at the moment and my weight losses don't seem to reflect how good I am been. I feel I am doing everything I can so I am wondering if it could be portion sizes ? Or too much fruit ? I love slimming world but am wondering if it's right for me :( ! I must be honest I sometimes do think my brain doesn't know when my tummy is full (if that makes sense?!?!) any advice or tips are very welcome and would be appreciated - Thanks

I think the key is playing around with your syns and seeing if you have better losses if you eat 5 or 15 or anywhere in between!

Also where do you eat your meals? Is it usually in front of the TV on your lap or at the computer? If so then you're probably distracted as you eat and it takes your tummy longer to tell your brain that you are full and so you over eat. If possible eat all meals at the dinner table with no TV/radio on and concentrate on what you're eating. Try to pause in between bites and drink water and you'll get fuller faster.

I try to pack my lunches and dinner with as much vegetables as possible and only have a small portion of carbs. It fills me up but I'm not over eating on pasta?potatoes/rice. And I always say, don't eat if you're not hungry. I know a lot of people will snack only because they are bored or they feel they have to. I'll snack on yogurts and fruit between meals but only if I feel hungry.

I agree with natalie as i found in the past that my portion sizes got bigger for rice and Carbs. It was using fitness pal that made me aware of just how much rice and pots i was having was too much. Cottage cheese is free but a bucket is not free no matter what diet.

It is possible to eat too much but I don't think this is too much. Did you have any superfree foods with your dinner, and are you sure the bhaji are free? What is in them?

If you follow SW advice of eating when hungry not just because you can, learn to listen to your body and stop when full, and aim for one third superfree then you should be fine. We are conditioned to believe that we need to eat less and cut back to lose weight when that's not the case, I eat more now than I ever did before but I eat the right foods x
