Spread your calories through the day, or save them for the evening?

I'm on about 1400 cals a day. Would the best approach be to spread them out through the day, e.g.

b - 300
s - 150
l - 300
s - 150
d - 500

or save more for the snacky time in the evening e.g.

B - 200
l - 300
s - 150
d - 750

I know the obvious answer is whichever I can stick to more easily, but I'm not sure yet, so what do you tend to do?

Thank you

I tend to not eat breakfast, certainly in the week, have about 100 cals late morning, about 450 cals for lunch, then another 100 cals in the afternoon, around 300 cals snacks in the evening, and 450 cals for dinner at 10pm. So around 1,400 on a normal day. :) xx

I am maintaining well ish actually these days sometimes aiming to gain!! unbeleavable really!! trying to hit 2000 calories a day.. I do so much excersize these days I need the calories! felt guilty tonight for not going to the gym!! but in all fairness 1 I weighed light this morning and 2 my legs are still in repair for last nights workout and I was tired from work!! up early again tomorrow for work next day off on Monday!! most of my cals are spread out through the day btw and not eaten in the evening.. I always eat breakfast usually really early think it can make you more hungrey tho if you eat very early I never used to eat until lunchtime before ;) most days my dinner is before 6pm then I have a huge bowl of alpen early in the morning before I get going :)

this is my problem - not sure which way to go.

When I am at work I seem to eat less so have a lot of calories left for the evening as I am a boredom eater but then on the weekend I have more time on my hand so struggle to keep to the calories allocated as I seem to eat more in the earlier part of the day.

frustrating as I do well or week and then overeat on the weekend so all my good work is undone!!!

I tend to go:

B - 200 - 300
L - 400 - 500
D - 800 - 1100
S - Whatevers left.

I prefer having calories for a 'proper' dinner. Plus I have a fairly high calorie intake at the moment, so can afford to leave 1000 cals for dinner everyday!

I do tend to get hungry in the evening so I like to leave some for the evening so I have the option of having something if I so wish.

It's all about what works for you :) If you find yourself getting hungry before bed then spread them out a bit more :) How are you finding your way so far?
