Is there any point?

Surely....
Hi guys.

I have a family holiday booked in six weeks which I am dreading because of swimsuit / wetsuit combo. I have some slim and save sachets left and am thinking I might get back on it for six weeks and see if I can shift a stone and feel better about myself.

However....during the six weeks I have a lot of social events- 2 big nights out, two weekends away at friends...

What do I do? Is there any point following Vlc if I am going to majorly blow all my hard work on at least six separate days? Or do I go with the idea that those 6 days will be minor hiccups in a bigger game?

I'd really like your opinions please.

Thanks in advance!

In a word YES! I'm in the same boat, except I am 4 weeks away from a holiday AND 2 weeks to my birthday but frankly I look and feel like a whale!!

I'm I going to do the best I can, that's all I can promise...come join me x

There are some lovely low calorie wines (my fave is black tower rose sold in asda and home bargains), even if you go out for meals you can still chose the option with the highest protein and save up your syns so you don't go over your weekly allowance if you're doing slimming world. Do a few extra bits of exercise a day even if it's just the odd stretch here and there. It all adds up! :)

I would have to say that using the s&s would be a bad idea... It's not good for your body to keep going in and out of ketosis and you are likely to lose just as much is you are consistent on Sw/ww for 6 weeks rather than stopping and starting the shakes...

I speak from experience... Last year I pretty much did the same and ended up with an overall 2lb gain...

So I'd say go with whatever you can stick with until holidays then come back to s&s if you still want to lose

Good luck :)

This is what has been bothering me and I tend to agree that if I can't do it properly I shouldn't start it. Think I might stick with 5:2 but push myself to 4:3 on the weeks where I can.

thanks for your advice.x
