Have i blown it already??

Just in my second week and had two dinners out and drinks, it's only my second weigh in tomorrow so scared!! Tried to pick most SW friendly meals on menus but know I've gone way over syns!!
Hardly ever eat out just bad luck had three things going on this week!!

Life doesn't stop because you are on slimming world. You made sensible choices and KNOW you went over a little so you will be prepared for a STS or even a small gain. Go, get it over with and start afresh. Don't let a few meals spoil an otherwise good week. I saw a really good analogy either on the SW website or the mag about having a dozen red roses and how you don't throw all 12 away because 1 or 2 have gone bad. I like to think about that in those exact terms. It's so true!! :)

I'm forever having off-diet days (unplanned) and feeling awful about it and then feeling like I might as well give up. But, if u give up just because of one bad week, you'd never lose anything at all. The way I see it is, if I've had a bad day or week, I'm extra good to make up for it. If I STS at weigh in that week, I take it on the chin and try harder next time. Sometimes, it takes a week of NOT seeing the results to get you back on track. Don't worry about it. And as I always say to SW'ers, EVERYONE deserves a meal out or drinks every now and again, we shouldn't panic about it effecting our weightless.

my first two weeks on SW there were loads of birthdays in the family so had many meals out. I just did the best I could and tried to make sure that every other thing I ate that day was slimming world friendly. I still lost over those weeks so hopefully if you have stayed on plan the rest of the time you should be fine. Saying that if you do gain its no big deal you just pick up where you left off and make next week better. Thats the beauty of SW as they understand every one has a life and not everyone will lose every week. Don't beat yourself up as its already happened and you can only change what happens next.

Thanks for all the advice I guess there is always going to be something getting in the way of having a perfect week have a christening next week then Easter then away for weekend just need to not give up :)

love this analogy! And you are exactly right! You have to live your life but try to make better choices. It us all about mindset! You can't not go out just because of SW. Try not to feel guilty as enjoying the odd treat will help in the long run!

Good luck with the weigh in!!

Sometimes you can factor SW into eating out and sometimes it's simply not possible, but it's healthy eating for life and unless you plan to eat in for the rest of your life then it's going to happen. Sure it's a pain that it all happened in your first week but it's all the other weeks and months that matter most.

The way I have taken to looking at it is: slim people have the occasional blowout. It's when it's not occasional that you have a problem. I've eaten out a couple of times since I joined and so far I've not had a gain and just one maintain.

As my (late :( ) consultant used to say: it's one meal out of 21, it's what you do with the other 20 that matters, so concentrate on your free and superfree whenever you can x

Instead of comparing your week, to a "perfect week" compare it instead to what your week would have been before SW.

As you're starting SW then a "bad" week will still be a lot better than how your weeks have been previously so you may even still lose.

Stayed the same so pleased it's not a gain! And you're right about comparing it to previous weeks my meals all used to be healthy but weekends were wine and chocolate based!!

you should still be able to enjoy life and go out and still lose weight if you choose wisely. well done staying same though x
