5:2 Newbie

I am starting the 5:2 diet today.
My fasting days will be Tuesday and Saturday.
I have about six stone to lose.

Today has been a good day... got homemade shepherds pie waiting for me when I get home.

Tomorrow is my fasting day, I have planned it all out.

I have got an activity yoghurt for breakfast (100kcal)
Covent Garden Skinny Soup for lunch
(107kcal)
Fruit Snack Pack
(40kcal)
Ocean Pie for Dinner
(265kcal)
Jelly
(10kcal)

That equals 522kcal, I know it's a little.over but I plan on doing 20 mins of walking so the walking should take my calorie intake to below 500.

Morning, just wanted to say hello. I started yesterday on 1st fasting day and doing 2nd one today! I'm starving already !! Came in here for some motivation to keek going Hope you have a good day. X
 
My fasting day did not go as planned. Just found it really hard. Not going to give up.

Hi there. I'm feeling my way through this dirt, girl at work told me about it. Thought I could do 2 days in row?!?! Can't i? ...??
 
You can do 2 fast days in a row but it makes it really hard for you, much easier to split your down days.

Not really sure what went wrong, planned what I was going to eat but my plan failed.

I had my yoghurt in the morning and about 2 hours later I was hungry and I started getting really bad hunger pains. I persevered for a little bit but the pain got to much and had to eat something.

So how does everyone cope on their fast days?
What do you have to eat?

I don't eat in the morning at all. It has always been the case (dieting or not) that I can't really face food first thing and then the earlier I eat the hungrier I get. If I had something first thing on a DD I'd have eaten my own arm by lunchtime :) I don't eat at all (LOTS and LOTSof water, green tea, coffee) until about 4pm, then I usually have bran flakes and yogurt, then ready meal about 6pm, snack about 9 if I want it and that's it. You have to work out what suits you and your lifestyle though. This is very doable if you can find a way to get through the DDs. I now find them easier than the UDs!
