[FONT=&amp]For those that haven't seen my post in introductions - I've been on (and more often, off) Slimming World for a couple of years now, and after losing a couple of stone and my weight going up and down with my motivation I am now only a few pounds lighter than where I started years ago![/FONT]


[FONT=&amp]After being a reader of this forum for a long time I've decided to join in. I started following the plan properly a fortnight ago and I have started going to the gym regularly to do the Couch to 5k challenge and a few other bits besides.[/FONT]

[FONT=&amp]I've lost 7.5lb in the last 2 weeks but I know that my motivation tends to be short-lived so I'm going to keep a diary on here and hopefully join in on the other threads too, as I find many of the posts on here so inspiring.[/FONT]

[FONT=&amp]My confidence has gone to pot and I feel like a shadow of who I was a few years ago, even my friends are commenting now on how my opinion of myself is holding me back in life.[/FONT]

[FONT=&amp]I'm getting married in May next year and currently, the idea of trying dresses on in a shop, in front of my best friend TERRIFIES me - so I don’t know how I will ever get down the aisle if I don't do something about me weight and my confidence.[/FONT]

So, I started a fortnight ago, I'm having my weighs in on a Monday. The first week I lost 7lb and the second (this morning's weigh in - I lost 1/2lb - which I'm a bit gutted about ifI'm honest - which is why I thought I'd join in on here to try to make me plan and keep on track.

Here goes nothing!

I'm enjoying being good and planning my food at the min, hoping this continues. There's a potential spanner in the works on Saturday as I'm going to a restaurant for a birthday meal and I've looked at the menu already and it's pretty much universally awful on SW :-/

welldone on your fantastic losses so far :) I tend to lose motivation too but this site has def helped keep me on track,nothing like a wedding to spur you on too,goodluck on your journey :) x
 
Working from home today, dangerously close to the chocolate digestives lol *must resist*

On the upside it's meant that I have already been to the gym and I've also got a fab syn free dinner simmering away in the slow cooker :)

The plan for today is:

Lamb casserole (lean lamb fillet, leeks, carrots, celery, potatoes, lamb stock, henderson's relish)

45 mins walk to sorting office and gym

I wish I was (again) lol I lost 5 stone before my wedding 7 yrs ago put it back on & lost it a few times since then too oh well its an ongoing battle! Your lamb casserole sounds delish x
 
5 stone is amazing! I'll be over the moon if I can do that :) and thanks, it was quite yummy - love my slow cooker, I just chuck things in and it turns out great! :) xxx
 
Not updated for a few days thanks to a very busy weekend! I've been good though, within syns every day with exercise on Friday. Went out for a meal on Saturday for the mother-in-law-to-be's birthday meal/mother's day meal and managed to get through that without blowing the diet - I had sparkling water and Piri Piri spiced chicken with salad (instead of chips_ and no dessert - I was very proud of myself as everyone elses burgers, ribs and chips smelt amazing! As such, I am mega disappointed with my weigh in this morning; a measly 1lb off! Hoping that the weightloss I deserve for last week is just waiting in the wings to come off - maybe I'll get a good loss next week - here's hoping! I'm working in a different city tomorrow in a building with airport level security so I can't take in cutlery, or food and drink with the seal broken - not entirely sure how I am ggoing to navigate that one sucessfully! Here's today's plan of action:

Fresh Tomato and Basil soup

Well done on your loss, 1lb off is better than 1lb on!

I too was very proud of myself on Saturday night when I went out for dinner. I had Gammon & Eggs with Salad and no dessert - I had major food envy when looking around the table, but also a great sense of satisfaction of knowing how I'd stuck to plan!
 
Well done, it's fab isn't it, maybe not at the time but great to feel proud afterwards rather than guilty! Yeah, yr right, at least it's in the right direction! Xxx
 
Late with my update as I was working away yesterday and didn’t get back 'til late. I was working in a building with airport level security and a ban on food and drink with the seal broken and no cultlery!

Snaekily weighed myself this morning and am almost 1lb heavier than monday - gutted :(
 
Worked from home yesterday and had a really bust day - got an essay due for my degree too so had no soare time in the evening either - food wise it was ok though and a sneaky look at the scales looks promising!
