Phoenix_Girl's rise from the Ashes

I have followed a variety of plans in the past however Slimming World seemed the most flexible for myself and the least prohibitive.
I like the way it allows me to still eat food but changes the way I think about it and also encourages me to cook.

My approach is generally to have few syns, I checked this with my consultant and she said it is fine.

The last few days have been pretty much on-plan however I did have a little wobble yesterday and had 10 syns in one day which is extremely high for me.

Really craving bacon so I think I'm going to make myself a Bacon Sandwich with salad for brunch followed by a fruit salad if I'm still hungry :)

So, yesterday, I ended up fighting the urge for Bacon and was very good.

I had a home-made wholemeal bread-roll with reduced sugar jam on it (3 syns for two level teaspoonfuls, HexB for the roll).

As it was late by the time I had gone downstairs, (it was nearly lunch-time) I waited until dinner time to have my next meal - Chili Con Carne made with onion, peppers, tomatoes, carrots, extra-lean mince and kidney Beans all served with white rice.

Black tea, Sugar-free pop and water drunk.

Today, I had another late start so I had two bananas for breakfast.

At about 2PM, I started to get hungry so I had an apple and a cup of tea to satisfy the pangs of hunger.

This evenings' meal was roast pork, stuffing, leeks, broccoli, carrots and potatoes.

No gravy necessary however the stuffing was counted as 4 syns.

Tea with milk, black tea, glass of sugar-free Dr. Pepper and water drunk today.

Hectic day planned tomorrow so I am hoping I can cram errands in so I don't have to eat out.

Weigh-in tomorrow - eep! :3

Monday was a little hectic but thankfully I did get my errands sorted and not have to eat out.

While I understand that eating out is not a bad thing and should be encouraged, especially when you can stick to the plan have a laugh and relax with friends, it is very difficult for me during the day as the area in which I normally do my errands is FILLED with places mot really suitable for watching your intake - tons of pizza places and other takeaways with offers on for students to fill their boots with greasy rubbish which no-longer agrees with me.

Yesterday I did have a slow start but I ate two apples and an orange for breakfast with a cup of black coffee in the morning followed by a pint of water.

Because it was late morning when I had breakfast, I had an early evening meal of a sun-free stir-fry made with lean pork, egg-noodles (dried) peppers, courgettes and spinach.
(proportion of about 1:1 super-free to free) with another pint of water

I went to my group-meeting last night and weighed in, three pounds lighter than last week!

Also managed to get slimmer of the week and the raffle which I was not expecting so my bag was heavier coming back from group this week :p
Part of my prize for this week was a box of the new peanut bars SW have brought out, they taste just like peanut tracker bars and are either 6 syns or your Hex B - I had one of these last night with a cup of tea and they taste absolutely fab! :)

Yesterday I had another busy day.

Breakfast was mixed fruit (banana, apple and orange) with a cup of tea.
Lunch was very low fat sausages with spinach, mushrooms, courgettes, pepper and couscous (2 syns for the sausages)
Dinner was late but it was a stir-fry with Pork, spinach, broccoli, courgette, peppers and mushrooms all served with egg noodles.
Found the portion given to me was far too big so boxed up some of it to have as a spicy ramen bowl today.

I drank black tea, tea with milk and water yesterday.

Didn't get my full Hex's yesterday so I need to make more of an effort to have more fibre in my diet and more calcium from dairy (the Spinach has some calcium in it naturally though)

Wednesday was a quieter day - breakfast was Cous-Cous and sausages followed by a banana and two apples. (2 syns)
For lunch, I had a ramen bowl which was noodles, chilli, pork, spinach, mushrooms.

Unfortunately, I was not in the mood for dinner so I went to bed early without dinner - very rare for me.

Yesterday I had two apples and a cup of coffee for breakfast.

For lunch, I had another Ramen bowl (similar to yesterday) followed by a bread roll and 3 spoonfuls of reduced-sugar jam (1.5 syns)

Dinner last night was spinach and Lamb Pilaf - I had actually amended the recipe by adding less lamb and more super-free vegetables to it, it was a one pot meal which was nice :)

Had a late start today so ended up going straight through to Lunch.

Ended up having Lamb and Spinach pilaff portion for lunch which is really filling - so glad I made this!

Dinner was homemade Leek and Potato soup followed by a bread-roll (HexB) with 4 level tsp of reduced sugar Apricot Jam (2 Syns)

After this, I did find myself a little hungry (soup doesn't fill me up for long) so I ate an apple and had another drink.

Drinks today were sugar-free Dandelion and Burdock, water, black tea and tea with milk in it.

Your food sounds lovely and well done on the fab loss!
.x.x.

Thanks Abisaurus! :)

Really been slacking for the last few days so I'm posting a catch-up now :)

So Saturday was a good day for the start.

The Morning began with two apples, a banana and some total 0% yoghurt as well as a cup of black tea.

Lunch was my final portion of Lamb and Spinach Pilaf (would advise anyone wanting a massive one-pot meal to find this SW recipe and use it, it makes a lot and can be frozen/refrigerated for plenty of super-simple meals)

The evening meal was pasta with Smoked Salmon trimmings, peas, peppers and onions all with some Cheddar cheese sprinkled on top (HexA)

Drinks of the day were Black tea, water and Tea with milk in it.

Sunday ended up being a slow day.

Brunch was Low-syn cumberland sausages (total of 2 syns) with mushrooms.

Dinner was pasta with mixed vegetables.

2 Rocky Road HiFi Bars (HexB)

Black Tea, black coffee and water were the drinks of the day :)

Monday is my weigh-in day.

Breakfast was three apples and an orange with Black tea.

Lunch was low-syn sausages (2 syns total) and mushrooms with a pint of water.

Plain wholemeal bread roll as a snack (HexB)

Dinner was a super-free vegetable curry with Rice - water and black tea had with those.

3lbs lighter this week.

The Area Manager asked me to help people who started but were thinking of giving up if they hadn't seen satisfactory results - I am apparently a bit of a poster-child of weight losses for our area! o_O
