Hi All...

I will be meeting my consultant tomorrow for the first time and getting started on this diet... For 10 weeks of food abstinence!!! Eek. I have yoyo'd for sometime now and have done since I was young. It really infects my life and the things I am willing to do. For this reason I have not been on a beach holiday for 14 years. It's ages, but i am going, to Greece, for a friends wedding...in 10 weeks and 3 days!! All I can say is at the moment the thought is filling me with dread and I don't want to go. I hope I will achieve this and have a great holiday, in my size 12 wardrobe that I have been building for some years!! I think I will probably weigh in around 15 stone tomorrow and I am 5ft 5 and a size 18. I will be happy at 12 stone even 12.7 if I tone as I go. I hope I can find some people to join their journey with mine to support, inspire and take an interest in each other's achievements. I'll keep you updated as I go. I'm excited for it :)

Good luck. You can defo lose 2.7 stone in 10 weeks. I lost nearly that in my first 10 weeks and that was with 2 stay the same weeks. I had a similar start weight to you and my names also Liz :). Once your passed the first week or so you'll be fine. When are you starting? X

I hope so!! It's going to make a massive difference. I'm starting tomorrow and have pretty much exactly 10 weeks to do it so I'm glad I have the deadline and the motivation. You've done really well, have you just stuck to the food packs the whole time? I can do it when I put my mind to it so hopefully my minds to it haha.xx
 
Yeah mainly ss with the odd bit of chicken when I really struggled. Stayed 100% the whole time but after I had the 2 sts weeks I had to have a day off to kick start my metabolism but went straight back on the next day. 10 weeks prob seems a right mission at the mo but trust me it goes kick. Tomorrow is the end of week 11 for me. X

That's really good. I think these things only work if you give 100%. Otherwise the time drags on and on and it's harder and harder I'm guessing. Keep me posted how you do and good luck tomorrow! How much longer will you do ss for now?xx
 
Yes your so right. I moved up to step 2 today actually, so hoping another few weeks and ill be at target. My weigh in is Sunday this week as like to get weighed in the mornings and my consultant is on earlys this week in her other job so happy to go Sunday instead. X

So it's day one and my first shake down. Maybe I've had it too early but I was excited to get started haha. I've a cup of black tea which I don't know if that's ok if anyone can tell me?? And a glass of water down too. No problems making toast for my boyfriend this morning, was nice not to bite a corner off before I gave it to him for a change!!xx
 
Day 2 fellow newbie here (who also happens to be slimming for a holiday in Zante in June!)

Black tea is totally fine as is black coffee and my personal favourite, peppermint tea (I'm aware it's an acquired taste!) so you're good with that. I hope the rest of your day goes as easily for you as breakfast did! Congratulations on resisting the toast! :) x
 
Hi fellow newbie.. Good luck with it, I know it will make a massive difference to lose the weight!! What date do you go? How did you find the first day?x
 
We go on the evening on 15th June for a fortnight. I've not been away since I was sixteen (I'll be 26 when we go) so want to enjoy it as much as I possibly can! I've got just over 12 weeks.

Day One was pretty good - the motivation definitely saw me through. I spaced out my products more than the other half (I had one before work, one at work, one as soon as I got home and one an hour or so before bed) and that appeared to help a lot. Other than that, drink lots and lots of water to fend off any hunger pangs and headaches that you might get. I'm very lucky though as there's only two of us in the house and we're both on CWP - I don't know if I'd cope having to cook for anyone!!
 
Yeah it's just me and my boyfriend in the house, he's on a diet too apparently haha. I've told him he can sort out his own food!! We go on the 1st June so I'll be home just after you go and will have probably put most of it back on!! As long as I feel good when we go that's the goal, and just try and eat salad and fish while away I think is the best plan. And luckily I don't think Greece is renowned for its wine!! Great that you're both on the plan so you can help each other along. Keep in touch and let me know how you're doing. I'm going to update on here regularly to try and keep me focused so feel free to do the same xx
 
Yeah, we decided before we jumped on the Cambridge wagon that once we're at the airport, the diet is out of the window until we get back home. Don't mind if I put some on because we can lose it again by getting back on it when we get home and stuff. Don't scrimp on the food if it means you won't enjoy yourself though! That'd sort of defeat the object.

Have an amazing time though - let me know how you're getting on. The people on the forums are ace for keeping you focused and talking you out of stuff you shouldn't be doing :) x
 
Just had a choc mint shake... Yummy :) after reading all the hype about them in the forums I was looking forward to trying it.... But she only put 1 in my selection :( so much for saving the best til last lol!! Have done 2.4 litres of water today so am nearly there with that too, a bit of a slog til I get used to it I reckon. All in all a good day.

oh....and I got my start weight... 15st 5lbs :( I was only 14st 6lbs on valentines day!! Haha never mind! Onwards and downwards!!x

I've had an unofficial weigh in yesterday that saw me lose 5lbs, so was well pleased with that but my Consultant can only weigh me once a fortnight (which is too long for me to wait). I've caved in with the OH and we're weighing basically every day, but another lb has come off so 6lbs is the running total. This is getting easier by the day - finding it easier to get up in the morning and I've quite a lot of energy (day 2 was absolute hell in terms of ketosis symptoms but they ended the day after).

Glad you're looking forward to being weighed - means you must feel good about the result! Got my fingers crossed for you - make sure you jump on here and let me know how you get on! x
 
Yeah I know what you mean, day 2 & 3 was awful!! I was having food related anxiety attacks but I have been just fine since. It's hard not to get on the scales but I've resisted the temptation. 2 weeks is a long time!! I like the weekly goals so you must be focused to go that long. I just made up fruit of the forest with loads of ice like a yog/smoothie. It was nice!! Just the mango left now. I haven't been able to do the soups at all... So your weigh in isn't until next week. Keep it up and let me know how you do.xx
 
Not to forget how good my skin has become with all this water!!
 
Does anyone know about eggs?? Im on ss and was told by my cdc that if need be have a bit of chicken, tuna or egg if I felt I needed to eat something. But now I've been reading on the forum that eggs are not allowed at all on ss+ Because they have a high fat content which will completely throw the diet off so I don't know why that would differ on ss. Any ideas?? The forum I was reading was from 2008 so I don't know if it would have changed now. Help!!! I just ate 3 haha xx
 
You can have eggs but only 2 a day on this.

Also, don't you have a cambridge book with all the steps in? I didn't get one when I joined so had to ask for one a few weeks in. All the answers are in there. X
