Total Solution Taupe's Exante Journey

Well I'm on Day 15 today and thought it might help me to start keeping a diary. A little about me. After being a lifelong yoyo dieter which has seen me with a BMI from normal to morbidly obese and every dress size in the wardrobe, it really is the time to get myself sorted out. Me and my hubby had a life changing move 18 years ago to France to live and work and though we are so very happy and count our blessings, my weight is the one thing that is my biggest issue. I know all the theory and no what I need to do, but why is putting it in to practice so hard? When I have lost weight before with WW, Atkins, etc etc , it has always gone back on - even though I vowed never to go back there. However, something this time seems different. Yes my focus is there, but I feel in a better place to cope with the long haul - not just the weight loss phase but the lifelong journey to eat healthily afterwards. It is hard to explain, but I am ready to do this for me.

I know what you mean I am just the same I have lost loads of weight over the years and gained back each time but this time I feel good about it and I am putting together recipes for after this has to be the last time please keep posting x

Thanks DeniseSuzanne and good luck to you too. We can do this! I will keep posting, particularly when it is tough as that's when we need the support. Too long I've tried to face my weight demons on my own.

Hi Taupe. Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll do really well on exante. I love France! Where in France do you live?

Day 16. All OK. Tummy rumbling a bit this morning but not hungry. Lynne we are in Picardy, in the Somme WW1 battlefield area. It is beautiful here and we are WW1 historians so ideally placed.

Hi Taupe. Well done for getting on track. Starting a diary is a good way to keep you focused & get you to where you want to be.x

Hi Taupe hope your having a good day it sounds like your living the dream,I'm on day 36 and loving how healthy I feel on this diet and proud that I didn't give in today when I attended a cook and taste class at work today

Thanks for the comments guys. Well done Denise you should be proud of yourself. I've been fine today, Day 16. Agree I feel better than I have done for quite a while. Definitely a spring in my step. Is it physical or mental?

Day 17. Sitting with my cup of black tea before I go off to do some work. Had my 3 packs very late last night - the last one at 1am! Just had trouble finding the time to fit them in (I hope this is a good thing that I am not thinking about food??) so had the last hot shake in bed. I have a ritual now of choosing my 3 packs for the day from the box then putting them in the kitchen ready for later. Think I've got the carbonara sussed now - I give it a good long soak to soften up the pasta before microwaving. It's still my least fav though. bUt I think of it as nutrition rather than food. Right better get on to that work...

In bed now, completely knackered. Just had my last pack of the day. Hot strawberry shake yum yum. Had energy today but too many late nights have caught up with me. Am inspired by reading the diaries on here and seeing how well people are doing, even though it is tough.

One day at a time for me I'm always glad to get to bed not having eaten other than pack, your right the best way is to think of it as nutrition I'm like that some days have to force the packs down but then the next day I crave them weird weird weird

Well weigh in this week delayed by 2 days as we were away, business not pleasure. But in the 9 days since last weigh in really pleased that another 5 pounds has come off giving a total of 21 pounds in 23 days. Was good while I was away, so really pleased that showed on the scales. So heres to Day 24….

Thanks Darcy and Denise your losses are great too. I agree the losses do help keep you motivated. I got on the scales three times this morning just to check it was right as it is so nice to see those numbers getting steadily lower. But I am really pleased that I have resisted the urge so far to weigh more than once a week. Have just had a count up of my remaining packs and need to get some more on order. I am determined to stay with this.

I just ordered some bars was going to make do with the packs I have left but can't face most of them at the moment I figure it will be easier if I at least have one I like a day lol then probably next week will be wanting them

Well I went for shakes and meals as that is what seems to suit me - but I did get the offer of the free berry bars, so I hope they are OK! If nothing else they will make a change.

Hi Taupe. I'm not keen on the red berry bars but do find them better frozen x

Thanks for that Lynne I will try them frozen. My packs should arrive today. They take a bit longer as I am in France. Well weigh in today after 4 weeks and 4.5 lost this week since Wednesday so a total of 25.5lbs. Really pleased with that for 4 weeks. Really helps the motivation but I know this is going to get harder now as the success has been great but there is a long way to go…still I am still in the right mental focus so on we go.
