Best fruits to eat?

I'm struggling with my dinners at work. at the moment, I have an orange, a banana, an apple and a muller light. I find I get really hungry later on but I don't want to eat pasta etc for lunch.

What's the best fruit options? I want to cut down on bananas but am wary that fruit is full of sugars (even if it is natural?)

thank you :)

I love strawberries and grapes with a muller poured over them! Mmmmmm delish!!

mmmm, me too. I often take this to work.

To flossyXO - how about making a fruit salad with lots of different fruits, make sure there is some juice from an orange to stop browning of fruits like apples, pears and bananas. I sometimes make a largish one which I also love to flavour with passion fruit pulp too, and I take some to work each day until it is finished.
If you are getting hungry at work but don't want to make pasta salad how about trying some of the other filling salads like quinoa or bulgur wheat, or a salad without the pasta but added tuna flakes or ham slices and boiled eggs. Or jacket potatoes and a filling. Sorry if this is not what you are looking for - I am not sure if you just want fruity suggestions or lunch suggestions.

If you are wary of fruit containing lots of sugars then why exclusively eat fruit at lunch? maybe explore some vegetable options? Quite a few people report a better loss when they replace fruit with veg. Personally I have a fruit heavy breakfast and then my lunch tends to focus around my hexA and b. So I'll have scan bran topped with laughing cow, some ham and a sliced tomato with a load of carrot sticks on the side for superfree. I take it to work in my lunch box with a knife for spreading. If I'm at home I might make an omelette with loads of red onion and mushroom and ham. Also how about a rice salad? I find rice easier than pasta which I rarely eat. Sometimes I will stirfry a load of frozen veg and some spices and mix it in to rice cooked in stock. I'll have some with my dinner instead of potato and take the rest to work the next day.

Your post seems a little contradictory in that you want fruit options but are wary of fruit? Like PD I'm a bit unsure what advice you actually want...?

Personally, I think just eating fruit all day is not going to sustain you long term. I think this may also affect your losses and you may go off track with the plan due to hunger or boredom.

I have breakfast, a banana about 10, then about 12ish I have strawberries, blackberries and raspberries with some onken vanilla yogurt on and then at 1.30 I have lunch. Lunch is savoury rice, or pasta with philly and veg in, ham or egg salad, a SW quiche or something along those lines and even after all that I am starving when I get home, so I'm not surprised to hear you say you are hungry. Lunch is notoriously difficult, especially if you are at work all day and have restricted facilities. We have a kitchen with a microwave, but no plates, cutlery etc and no nominated area to go and eat, but I refuse to sit at my desk and eat! With a bit of planning, some Tupperware, flasks etc you can get by. What about some home made soups full of veg? Good luck with everything :D

For me homemade soup is a lifesaver and so filling :) If I just had some fruit at lunch I dont think I would cope.

Fruit for lunch would not keep me going till dinner time. I generally take some sort of couscous/rice salad, with beans/tomato/cucumber etc and a dressing (sometimes just a bit of balsamic vinegar or lemon juice). I make a big batch and it lasts me a few days (I vary the dressing/spices so it tastes a bit different). SW quiche also works well for me. I tend to use fruit to keep me going between meals.

Fruit is not enough for lunch - I've tried it and always fall off the wagon!

I've just had homemade ham and lentil soup in a food flask - stays piping hot till lunchtime

I've been making a fruit salad of Strawberries, raspberries, grapes, cherries and a kiwi and I eat that while I wait for my mug shot to brew! :)

I've been having omelette for breakfast, then using my HEx's to have All Bran and Milk with chopped in fruit or lunch. That seems to be working better for me than having the cereal in the morning. Plus it's quick, simple and cheap.
