I'm at target! What do I do now?

Ok so I got to target last Wednesday and even though another half a stone would be fab I am relatively happy with myself.
But what now? I have asked a couple of target ladies at group and everyone seems a bit vague as to what you do to maintain. My ex consultant told me to have an extra B, friends have said to fill my boots ( I wont ) and the target ladies have said that they just follow the plan.

Any suggestions????

wow you have really done well with a fntastic weightloss. How long has it taken you? I can understand your thinking what now? as this must have been a goal for quite some time. Im sorry I cant help. Ive never actually reached a target weight. I hope the kind people on this site can give you the advice you need. Good luck

Congratulations on reaching target!

my friend is at target and she was told to have another hex b, but was still loosing, so told to have a hex a as well. She still seems to be loosing now, and has kinda went off plan which isn't ideal but she seems to still be hovering under target.

I got to target about a month ago and so far I'm just following plan, with a cheat meal thrown in at the weekend. My weight has been up and down 2lbs since I got to target. I really havnt got much help out of group either, apart from, like you, the consultant saying to have an extra hexb. So I'm just doing my own thing. I exercise a lot and enjoy eating healthy so I know I'm not wanting to 'fill my boots' tbh I always feel ill after eating loads of rubbish! Can never wait to get back on plan afterwards.
WEll done on getting to target though x

and well done to you too!All I have done differently this week is have a naughty lunch the day I weighed and 2 extra slices of bread yesterday oh and some wine lol. I am so used to SW food now that I think if I did 'fill my boots' it would be a shock to my system!
Like I said, if I lose another half stone I will be happy but am pretty chilled about where I am at the mo xxx

I'm trying to maintain too and still trying to find my way although, like you, I wouldn't mind losing a little bit more!

So far, I've basically abided by SW principles, staying on plan for about 80% of the time. The rest of the time - the odd meal, day or holiday - I'm fairly relaxed about it and allow myself to enjoy the things I really want. I keep an eye on the scales and take action again at the first opportunity if the weight starts to creep up. SW is definitely for life if you don't want to undo all your hard work.

(I've just got comfortably back into target range after a week away when I went one pound out of target range. Because I'm a slow loser, and impatient to get back in range, I went back on SW but combined it with the 16:8 fasting system).

I am lucky enough to have quite a busy social life so I am going to start allowing myself a proper treat once a week. I play in a weekly quiz and they always do a lovely buffet afterwards which I have so far resisted but this week I may not lol. I have to ask what is the 16:8? I have heard of the 5:2

Of course you can ask! Basically, you have an 8 hour window when you can eat and 16 hours when you can't. The best way to do it is to skip breakfast. If I'm having lunch at 1pm, then I stop eating at 9pm the night before and this means that I spend most of my fast time asleep! I was never much much of a one for breakfast, so it suits me. There's been a bit of chat on my thread about breakfast this last week which you might find interesting.

Oh, and I didn't say well done for reaching target in my earlier post - but well done!

Same here, getting to 10 1/2st would be fab but my body seems happy maintaining 11 so I'm ok with that x

I'm worried about getting weighed every week too if I'm honest, once a month would be better and feel more healthy? I'm finding it loads of pressure getting on the scales every single week! X

Well done on reaching target! I don't go to class every week, but go about every 3-4 weeks (as quite honestly, they bore me rigid and always have). I am just sticking to plan as usual, but as I do Green I already get 2 HEBs and HEAs, and have 10 - 15 syns each day. I don't want to get into the habit of going off plan as that's where it all went wrong for me before!!

Well people say to me 'oh you can start eating normally again' which amuses me because I do eat normally, just healthy! If their idea of normal is what I used to eat then they would have a shock lol.
I am going to class on Wednesday as I di genuinely enjoy it and have made some lovely friends there but I think if there is ever a week I cant go then I wont get stressed about it x

This!! Someone I know, who isn't losing weight unless she fasts all day before weigh in, keeps moaning that on Slimming World she can't eat 'normal' food. This frustrates the hell out of me. Slimming World really is meant to be a reeducation regarding what constitutes 'normal' diet. Fresh food is normal. Low processed sugar is normal. High fruit and vegetable consumption is normal. Sh!t out the freezer or a packet is not the normal evolved human diet. It's only been around last forty years or so! In fact, the only part of SW that isn't natural-normal is artificially low fat foods, like low fat cheese or yogurt.

When end I'm at target (I WILL get there!) I plan to increase my HEB by having normal sized wholemeal bread or a normal sized bowl of cereal. If I'm still losing, possibly add another HEB in the form of tbsp olive oil, instead of frylight. Possibly move to regular yogurt. But NEVER to go back to sugary pop, regular high syn junk food etc. want to aim to gradually move to normal, healthy eating afterwards. You've all done so well to get to target. Well done!

Excellent reply thank you and I couldn't agree more with regard to junk etc. The thing is with me is that I have been totally focused for the last 6 months so IF I did try and ram some pizzas etc down me I think it would be a shock to my system. After weigh in last week I had a burger and chips and a piece of cake, and don't get me wrong, I devoured it but I didn't feel the need to continue to eat when I got home. I am not that keen on the introduction of another HE as I am quite a good routine regarding my meals but I think I will go down the route of the weekly treat, and that's what it should be - a treat! x
