I'm stuck in the binge restart cycle for the last 5 months. I'm petrified that I will nit loose this weight. I'm due to restart tomorrow but what's the point if I'm going in with fear?? I feel confused. Scared. Anxious. Emotional.

I feel ashamed to leave my house looking so FAT. I need to decide a home visit consultant or one whom I visit myself. I have a lady whose amazing but would have to travel there. I'm thinking of ordering a pair of jeans I would like to fit into. Is this a good or bad idea?

I don't know. I just want to believe it will work again. It's killing me. I'm currently 15.7 looking to get to 8 stone. A long way.

Thanks for any help in advance xx

I know exactly how you feel, I too am stuck on a cycle like a broken washing machine and am really struggling to get off. I too have weighed in on my scales at 15.7 today but I have my CDC coming this morning so I can start again tomorrow.

I would love to say I am so motivated that this will be the last time but I think that puts too much pressure on. I will do what I can knowing that once the first week is over it only gets better.

Once you have decided whether you want a CDC to come to your home or if you are to visit them just get in touch and go for it.

Good luck.

First of all you are the same height as me so 8 stone is far too small for you. You would have a BMI of under 25 at 10 stone 5 so that would be a much easier ask in terms to length in of time having to stay on sole source. I wouldn't buy the jeans until you are a couple of weeks in losing weight. If you have the fear when they arrive you might feel its just an unreachable goal right now if you haven't even started yet. Secondly you're not massive. I doubt other people see you the way you see yourself. It's certainly not a weight that should stop you from leaving the house. How you perceive yourself is how others will perceive you too so please go see the CDC Consultant yourself. Locking yourself into your home won't solve anything. Thirdly set achieveable goals, the first one being getting through the first week. I personally didn't bother clearing out the house of junk or making my family change their habits to suit me because it was me with the issue and me that had to learn to say no. I just decided I didn't want to be the fat girl anymore. This diet will change your life if you are willing to let it.

Thank you very much. Is 8.5 a better target? I like your straight talking :)

Dont be scared.. YOU CAN DO THIS..! You have the frame of mind that will push you forward. Otherwise you wouldnt be posting here..

I wish you all the best with this, You only live once. make a change and enjoy your life :)

Good Luck :)

Thank you. It's crazy as well. I have people talking me off Cambridge and lecturing me with the usual healthy blah blah.
Something else I continue to struggle with is a goal weight. I'm very unsure. Sometimes I think 8 stones other times 9 stones.

A healthy BMI is anything up to 25. I think you're making the task harder by setting a goal so low. I think 10 stone is what you should be aiming for and then if plan is going well and you hit it then why not set a new goal?

Hi Hun, definitely think you're setting your goal too low. I'm 5'2" and 8 is on the lower end of healthy for me, so would probably put you on the line between healthy and underweight, good suggestion above to set it higher and then if you still want to aim a bit smaller change it, but 8 is a very low target and might end up making you feel rubbish when you've actually achieved so much - you'll always be thinking about getting lower.

I was in the same cycle last year but have managed 20 days so far. Not really sure what changed but once you are in ketosis everything is easy. You will be fine - we can all do it.

The healthy weight range for someone of 5ft 4lbs is 8st 5lbs to 10st 6lbs. You may find 10st 6lbs is amazing and not want to go lower, you can always change later. Though a target should always be an individual thing and you know what you want better than anyone else.

I certainly recognise that restart cycle, I have been in it since 2010, grrrrrrrr. I am currently in the 'binge before Monday because I won't get to eat again for 6 months", all well and good until you do it every week for 4 years and pile all the weight back on.I will do it this time, I just need to approach it like the first time when I had most success, 100%, no deviations.

Good luck.
