star weeks

Have to say (sorry gents) I dread "star weeks" when all I crave is bread and chocolate then to top it off even if you have had a good week it never shows on the scales for another week. So not fair. Any ideas out there to distract me from the bread bin??

That certain time of month a lady could eat the world or kill it!! My consultant calls them star weeks says she has a button on her hand held especially for it.

Yup it's * week.

Well you could resign yourself to the fact that * week is going to show a STS or maybe even a gain even if you are good and know it will be ok the following week. It does happen and there isn't much you can do about it. Maybe you could save syns and have some chocolate or bread if that's want you want otherwise you are going to have to keep yourself busy to distract yourself. It's worthwhile finding some low syn chocolate treats to get you through. Popular choices are curly wurly 6, freddo 5 but there are loads more if you search. :D

I find when I'm craving stodgy food like bread, sw chips do the trick especially with curry and grated cheese on top. For chocolate cravings (my downfall btw) I have low syn treats on hand like JVB mentioned and also mix chocolate options into a fromage frais yogurt to stave off cravings for as long as possible to try to keep the curly wurly/fudge/chomp etc until evening if I can.

* week is always a pain, always has been, always will be!

As I have usually always followed Slimming World at home, I always tried avoiding weighing myself during that week, so as not to feel demotivated (I know, it's all psychological as I knew I'd lose the week after - but it can be so disappointing to see a significant weight gain!). Unfortunately for me, this is my first week back on plan, and also happens to be * week... bloody fantastic, eh?

I'd agree with those suggesting the lower-syn chocolate options if you're really craving it - do you like hot chocolate? You can get low syn varieties, even white chocolate which are gorgeous - would they satisfy your chocolate cravings any?
