Big changes alround -Peppop's food diary

Hi all,

I'm getting back into things properly this morning. Had a weeks holiday and it was OH's 40th birthday so SW kinda got bumped this week.
Just started going it alone so here's my food diary. If anyone wants to comment / pass on advice/ give me a push in the right direction you are more than welcome :)
So ... (oh I'm doing the EE plan)
Breakfast:
Porridge 35g HE b
350ml skimmed milk (for breakfast and tea coffee during the day. HE a
Maple syrup 1tbsp 2 SYNS (2/15)
Two cups of tea FREE

Forgot to add my lunch:
2 slices of wholemeal bread 400g 6 SYNS (8/15)
Mayonnaise 2 SYNS (10/15)
Bacon FREE
lettuce FREE
tomatoes FREE
diet cream soda can FREE
 
Dinner:
Roast chicken with the skin removed Free
Sweetcorn free
Butter on the sweetcorn 2 SYNS (12/15)
Potatoes mashed with milk from my HE free
Tinned pears 2.5 SYNS (14.5/15) - damn thought these were free :confused:
Muller yoghurt Free
No added sugar squash. Free

That's me for the day. Wish I'd realised tinned pears were synned. Here was me thinking I was being good by buying ones in juice too. Oh well onwards and downwards.

lauralozzle I can highly recommend the porridge and maple syrup - it tastes amazing
 
Better update my lunch:

Scraping of butter - 2 SYNS (10/15)
Roast chicken - free
Salad - free
Muller light yoghurt - free
2 clemintines - free
Cuppa tea - free

Coming to the conclusion rather quickly that spreads and bread are my downfall. Back to cous cous for lunch tomorrow me thinks otherwise I will be using up my daily SYNS far too quickly and would much rather use them for something nicer.

Have you tried the lurpak lightest?

Or maybe spread some lightest mayo on your bread instead.....

what size bread are you using.... if it's a normal big loaf I hate to tell you but that would be twice the syns :eek:
 
Hi, just a quickie, are u having superfree fruit or veg with all your meals? You don't say that u have with your porridge, and sweet corn isn't superfree mores the pity!! Xx

Aargh to the sweetcorn - between that and my tinned pears yesterday not doing too well :d'oh: I am missing out as far as my breakfast is concerned. I'm not a huge fruit person, especially first thing in the morning and I kinda struggle with that one. Might try chopping a banana into it - any suggestions?

Yeh when I have porridge I chop up a banana into it or stir some frozen berries through x

I only use a little amount of nutella - 15g is 4 syns, but I use around 10g so I just count it as 3 syns. Just a small teaspoon amount. Then a chopped banana on top. Lovely. :D
 
Thanks Laura. Think I'll try the frozen berries tomorrow and get some bananas. I'm sure I have nutella somewhere ;)
 
Another update:
Can of diet cream soda Free and really helps with my sweet tooth.
Homemade spaghetti bolognese free
Grated cheese half fat 4 syns (14/15)

Bananas are great for nutrition but they are free not superfree :(
