so, finally got round to doing a diary. Just a quick update. I am a 55 year old female, whose daughter is getting married April 12th this year. I have done LT before and lost nearly two stone before low carbing. Managed to maintain until last year. Started Exante on the 9th of January and so far lost 16 pounds, so now weigh 11 stone. My aim is to get back to 9.10 and trying to lose what I can before the wedding. I have been 100 per cent and weight loss is steady so happy with that. I was doing Leslie Sampson's walking video, but had to stop this week due to having some problem with my hip, hopefully I will get back on track exercise wise next week. Today I am struggling, feeling low in mood, not sure why. I am suffering a lot today from hot flushes so maybe I am hormonal, but don't really know. Went to get a coke zero , unfortunately I think I am one of these people who really has to limit the coke zero so will need to be careful. Felt like eating real food at teatime and almost gagged when eating my pasta carbonara but know I will probably be ok tomorrow so trying to be strong. I am going to continue with TS for the next two weeks and then will re-feed due to going on holiday for a week. Not decided yet what to do when I get back, may do W.S due to the hen night being a week after I get back. Hopefully then will return to T.S until a few days before the wedding and then get back on T.S to lose the remainer of the weight. Hopefully my mood will improve tomorrow and will feel more positive. I really don't want to cave in at this point but really struggling.
 
A good time to start a diary :) You've been doing so well, congrats on your loss so far.

Perhaps just get yourself a nice hot bath/shower and straight to bed tonight. Things always seem better in the morning x

thanks to you both. Well I was good, and have got through another day, mood still low, not sure why, probably hormonal like I said earlier. two weeks today and will re-feed before my hols. hip still sore so no exercise for me again. Will weigh in Sunday morning really hope I get in the tens by then.
 
Keep going Joy. It will be worth it. Hopefully ul feel better soon chick :) x

oh thank you everyone. trying hard- I must have caught that sunshine, feel much better today and my work clothes are feeling loose, which has really helped my frame of mind your comment bought a lump to my throat I really appreciated it thank you so much.

Tomorrow will be a challenge I will be in Newcastle all day 7:20 train and not back till 7:30 starting a masters course via distance learning and have to attend a study day so I will have to have two bars for convenience sake. I have been informed they give you a packed lunch but will avoid that. (fingers crossed) Hope everyone has had a good day. Will check people's diaries to see how you are doing. Hubby's happy to see me back to myself. :)
 
so managed to attend my course and stuck to my two bars, despite the fact they provided a packed lunch I managed to resist. Just sat and ate my bar, got a few looks but did not say anything, and think as I didn't not know anyone they were to polite to ask. When I got home could not quite finish my spag bol usually don't mind this, struggling to eat the hot meals at the moment don't know why, has anyone else experienced this? I have quite enjoyed the chilli. spag bol until now. still got plenty of shakes and some porridge and bars so might use them for a bit and see how I feel. Anyway really proud of myself today I was so tempted cos I did not want to feel different to anyone else, but knew I would be so cross with myself if I gave in.

How about adding a bit more water to the hot meals. That might make them easier to finish. x
 
Thanks Susie, I did try putting some more water in it, but for some reason the smell was making me feel sick, strange I know, hopefully a break off them will help, like I said I still have plenty of porridge, shakes and some bars so should be ok. Anyway should have got weighed today, but decided that I would follow the trend of some on here and not jump on the scales for a few weeks, due to my losses not being as big as other's and don't want to throw the towel in. Also I have got less than three weeks now before we go Tenerife and what will be will be. Hopefully I can jump back on exante when I come back for the few weeks before the wedding. Hope everyone is having a good day.
 
Good idea putting the scales away Joy :)

...this has worked wonders for my motivation, as weeks with little lost are so demoralising :sigh:

A month will always see some loss, so is better for giving the bigger picture :D

....your tastes for the packs may well change in time, I know mine did :)

thanks, not had chance to go through all the posts there are so many on here, which is all good and the support is amazing. Having a positive day, went to try on my hols clothes which I bought prior to putting on more weight. AND!!!! THEY ALL FIT. Now they aren't my skinny clothes (size10's) but they are size 12's, ok one dress which is more fitted does not fit, but I don't have to buy anything in a different size, due having enough clothes that fit me, so happy I feeling like skipping around the room. Just wondered what people think to my plan, going to carry on with T.S for the next eleven days, then going to do W.S with a small amount of extra carbs to knock me out of ketosis. Although I intend to watch my calorie intake and carbs when abroad for a week, I DO want to indulge in some vodka's and diet coke. When I get back I want to drop onto W.S. I have an hen night to attend the week after I get back so will need to be careful about Ketosis. I then intend to do TS for a couple of weeks before the wedding. Do you think that this will be ok? After this want to do W.S until I reach goal.
 
Your plan sounds well thought out Joy.

Coming out of ketosis is a must if you are going to drink alcohol & Vodka is a good choice as low in carbs.

Well done on getting back into your size 12's. Cant wait till I get there. Said goodbye to that size in 1988 lol x
 
Thanks everyone, got two conferences' this week so temptation re the buffet will be difficult to avoid. Finding it hard to stay focused now I have decided to introduce W.S in just over a week but hopefully will keep on T.S until the 8th of March
 
That week will fly by Joy so try to stay TS till then x
