Atkins and betablockers

Hi everyone.
I'm on quite a high dose of betablockers (for very severe migraines) and I'm thinking of starting the atkins diet.
Ever since starting the medication, i've gained quite a bit of weight and I'm struggling to lose any at all but I was warned that they will make me gain weight.
I was wondering if anyone has had any success on this diet and being on this type of medication?
