Seriously considering Cambridge Diet..

Hi all,

After spending 2 hours looking at Cambridge Diet success videos on youtube, reading blogs and articles. I am almost certain i want to pursue the diet.

I'm currently 29st. Yup. It's hard knowing that even if i lost 10st, i'd still be fat lol

My only luck is that i am very tall and 'carry it well'.

Ove the last few months, i've been getting very anxious about my weigh, any twinge and i think i am having a heart attack or dying. Even reading back what i have just written makes me sound ridicuous but that's how i've been feeling lately.

I've recently turned 30 and my 20's were pretty miserable socially/romantically and i'd love that to change.

I'm going to make an appointment with the dr to see if i'm fine to join the diet and then find a consultant. Any tips on how to pick a good one on the CD website?

Good luck in whatever you decide. I'd say read the profiles of the consultants on the web, you can search by postcode. Then give them a call and see what you think. This diet is fab as long as you stick to it. It's mind of matter for the first 10 days but gets easier.

Thank you LizWhite29, i'll have a look and draw up a shortlists i like the sound of. Going to make a Dr appointment tomorrow, so hopefully i'll get the all clear and start by end of the month.

Do you have to pay weekly/monthly?
I hate porridge, so what are my options breakfast wise?
Are you allowed fruit?

Congrats on your loses so far aswell :)

Hi I totally agree with the comment above about reading the profiles and see how you feel when you talk to them. I think it's half the battle if you have a good consultant to help Motivate and get you through the hard times when you feel like giving up or temptations!

I'm on day 5 of ss and it's defiantly mind over matter but you can do it !

Good luck in what ever you choose!

Ps don't be so hard on yourself, I think your very brave for what you have just said ?

Thank you j3nn27 :)

I need to reclaim my life back so need to really be determined. Just need to decide if i want my consultant near home (North London) or near work (East London).

I pay monthly so 4-5 weeks in advance. That way I know I'm committed as there's no way I'm paying all that money to give up after a few days. It certainly helped me :)

I have 2 ready made shakes (tetras) and a bar. I hate the porridges and soups but you may like them. I have the ready mades as I'm at work all day and easier for me plus I love the taste of the banana one.

Good luck x

I work in London too but have mine at home. I'd say home as easier I think

That's a great idea, paying monthly as I wouldn't want to spend that much and give up on it.

I'm over 5'8 so i think I get a extra shake, so I'd probably just do 3 shakes and a bar like you.
