Here I Go AGAIN!!!!

Good afternoon ladies/gentlemen.

I hope you don't mind but I've come here as IVillage has closed and I really need to post my diary each day to keep me on the straight and narrow.

I've been diagnosed as having gallstones and the waiting list is 4 months to have an operation to remove the gallbladder. In the meantime I was told to lose weight as it makes keyhole surgery easier.

I have been doing SW (half-heartedly) since god was a boy but now I have been told to lose weight because of a health problem I really have to do it!!!! My trouble is I do like a drop - or gallon - of the old vino which is really my downfall. Not got a sweet tooth but I do like crisps and savouries.

I signed up online last Monday and even with a weekend away I have lost 4lbs this week so am well chuffed.

Sorry to have bored you. Here's today then:

EE

Breakfast: None (got up too late)

Lunch: Broccoli soup, large wholemeal roll (HEB + 2syns), 5 lc light (HEA), onion, tomatoes, cucumber, pickled onions, gherkins

Dinner: Tandoori chicken (fat free natural yogurt & tandoori spice mix), salad leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, celery, onion, SW chips done in Actifry (the best kitchen gadget in the whole world), light salad cream (2syns)

Snacks: Apple, melon, Options hot chocolate (2syns)

Total Syns: 6

See you all tomorrow. Have a great day.

Love Alison x

Hi AF :wavey: ,

Well done for staring a diary and congrats on your 4lb weightloss ! Sorry to hear about your health troubles. I'm sure as you will start losing the weight steadily, things will be on the up for your health too. I hope the surgery goes well for you fingers crossed. Your food diary looks fab ! Best of luck for this week. Keep posting, will pop in again to see how you are doing :). (I have a diary on here too, feel free to pop in and say hi :p)

Morning All

Well, it was another 100% day for me yesterday, hurrah! I think the consultant telling me that I was humongous and need to loose weight was the kick up the bum I needed. I'm going away for the weekend so probably won't be 100% alcoholwise but will be 100% foodwise. We are going to Torquay and normally I would be having a long walk along the front (weather permitting) for some body magic but I'm not up to it at the moment. Nevermind, I won't beat myself up about it but will do my best. Maybe some walking around the shops will help ;)

I've ordered some green tea capsules today to see if they make a difference. My son thinks they do so let's see......

Anyhow, here's how today should be:

RED

Breakfast: None - oops

Lunch: Bacon, scrambled egg, mushrooms

Dinner: Homemade burgers (lean mince, onion, chillies, egg, stuffing mix (2syns)), wholemeal roll (HEB), bacon, cheese slices (HEA), lettuce, cucumber, onion, tomato, light mayo (2syns)

Snacks: Melon, ham, apple, hot choc (2syns)

Syns: 6

Will update if I have anything else.

Happy Wednesday.

Hi there and welcome. Well done on your loss so far

Where has the week gone? It's Friday tomorrow, whey hey. Only one more day until we go away!!!

It's a really cold, snowy day here today so not a happy bunny. We've been without heating or hot water since last Thursday and I'm getting really fed up now. The plumber came yesterday to sort out the boiler, cured 4 leaks but has found that the pcb (gawd knows what that is) is now broken due to all the water leaking onto it, grrrrrr. Anyway, he has found somewhere where they have one in stock so, hopefully, water and heating will be up and running later today. If you don't hear from me tomorrow it's because I'm still standing in the shower :p. They do say that you burn more calories when it's cold as your body uses more energy to stay warm. I should be about a size 8 by now I think, lol.

Today then:

RED

Lunch: Wholemeal roll (HEB), ham, egg, pickled onions, gherkins

Dinner: Gammon, broccoli, cauliflower, mixed veg, parsley sauce (1/2 HEA and 2.5 syns)

Snacks: Melon and ????????

Syns: 2.5 so far - will update later

Have a great Thursday.

Hoorah, I've got hot water and heating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolute bliss. That's the end of me burning calories due to the cold. Saying that, as we're going to Torquay tomorrow I might get cold, wet, both or blown away.

It's been a really funny day today. I wasn't hungry earlier on and then later in the day was absolutely starving. Been very good though. Today is like this:

RED

Breakfast: Sushi 2.5syns

Lunch: Wholemeal roll (HEB), egg, ham, LowLow cheese slices (HEA)

Dinner: Beef and spinach curry (2syns for tsp olive oil)

See you all on Monday/Tuesday

X

Wow Aliflabby, you've done super well on the low syns. Well done :p. I'm sure you going to have a fab loss this week ! Hope you have a lovely time in Torquay :) .

Kay xx

Thank you Kay. We had a lovely time. I did try to behave (badly) lol. On Saturday on the way to Torquay we stopped in Brixham and went to W/Spoons. I had a skinny chicken breast burger with a glass of wine (oops). We had a trip to W/Spoons in Torquay after we checked in to the hotel and had a couple of glasses of red wine (oops, oops!). Dinner a the hotel was not good. We had to pre-order as apparently there were lots of people staying and it would help the 'chef'. I had a prawn cocktail which was the only lowish syn thing on the menu. All it was was a pile of chopped iceberg with cheapo prawns with a shop bought dressing. The main I ordered gammon with pineapple and jacket potato (wanted to have salad with it but they only serve veg????). Gammon was lovely but the jp was stone cold and the veg didn't really go with the meal itself. Anyway, enough moaning. We then had a couple of glasses of wine in our room (more oops!). Now, breakfast was very good...... porridge with compote in W/Spoons. We shared some chicken strips and nachos for lunch with a glass of wine (what can I say....). Dinner was a garlic, chilli chicken curry with a small amount of nan all washed down with???????????????????????????? You guessed it, more red wine.

Back home on Monday, stopping briefly in Asda for supplies. Instead of grabbing a sandwich for lunch like I used to, I bought a packet of ham for my lunch. When we got home I steamed a tray of eggs so I had something to snack on. Dinner was scrambled eggs (hubby asked if I was going to put cream in them..... what planet is he on?), a Tesco Healthy sausage 1syn, grilled tomatoes, oven cooked mushrooms, gammon with a splodge of tommy k. I snacked on melon throughout the evening.

Well that was my last couple of days. Here's today:

RED

Breakfast: Tesco Healthy Living sausage (1syn), egg

Lunch: Wholemeal roll (HEB), ham, egg, gherkins, jalapenos, pickled onions, melon

Dinner: Roast chicken, sprouts, carrots, broccoli, stuffing (3syns), gravy (2syns)

Will have extra HEB & HEAs later

Have a great Tuesday whoever is reading this post. X

Hi AF :) , sounds like you enjoyed a lot of red wine :party0036:but what's most important is you had a really good time. Well done for getting straight back on it when you came back. If that was me, I would have picked up something naughty at Asda's, but instead you opted to go home and whip up something healthy, well done for staying so focused on the plan. I'm sure the scales will move in your favour this week, fingers crossed for you :p . The weather is miserable here in London, I am searching the net for a nice sw recipe for dinner tonight, not sure what I'm going to come up with , I fancy some real comfort food in this weather.
How is your day going so far ?

Kay xx

Hi Kay. I do like my red wine, he he! Now only drinking on a Saturday evening, apart from when we are away. My friends can't believe it :innocent0002:. I'm hoping that the scales show another loss this week. I can't complain about 6lbs in 2 weeks though can I?

It's a horrible day here too. Strong winds and lots and lots of rain. Roll on the Summer I say!

I've been looking through my SW cookbooks for inspiration too. You get fed up eating/cooking the same things all the time don't you? Hope you finds something exciting for dinner tonight.

Doing an EE day today. Here it is:

EE

Breakfast/Lunch: 3 Healthy Living sausages (3syns), mushrooms, jalapenos (strange combination I know), ML Greek yogurt (1/2syn)

Dinner: Chicken, broccoli, mushrooms, sweetcorn, pasta, Philly Light (HEA), chilli flakes, mustard powder.

Snacks: Pkt Walkers crisps (6 1/2syns), apple, kiwis

Happy Wednesday all. x

...oh I love the combo of chilli flakes with mustard powder and philly mixed together, that must be seriously hot ! :p I've had to quit on crisps :( it makes me sad but it's my weakness and I don't stop at one bag ! I try and make low syn savory snacks but I sure do miss my crisps  . Hope you have a lovely evening and I know you're gonna have a fab los this week ! :D

Kay, the pasta was lovely. There was enough for four so another two portions leftover. Would it be really greedy to have a portion for lunch? I'll heat one and see how much I can eat.

Having a boring day today. Got my fedup head on :sigh:. Will do my best to stick to plan so:

EE

Breakfast: 2 Health Living sausages (2syns), mushrooms, jalapenos (they say chillies improve the metabolism)

Lunch: Leftover pasta from last night????

Dinner: Prawn risotto (prawns, mushrooms, onions, parsley, rice, stock, parmesan cheese 1syn)

Snacks: Melon, apple

Wish me luck

It's Friday, whey hey!!!!! Not having a good time with pain at the moment. The sooner I get this bloomin' gallbladder out the better :(. Took Tramadol last night and feel really light-headed today.

I'm not really sure what I'll be eating for lunch at the moment but dinner will be bubble and squeak (potatoes, carrots, sprouts, broccoli). Chris (hubby) will have something else with his but I think I'm having mine naked .

Hope everyone is having a good day.

X

Hi AF, sorry to hear your not feeling well hun, hope the pain goes away and you feel better soon :). Your food sounds lovely. I hope you enjoy your weekend :D.
