Getting excited as lbs are starting to drop off... and I've not cheated this time!

I have completed 5 days of attack so far and have lost 7lbs. I'm going to keep going for a few more days just to get the maximum boost I can. I started taking a multivitamin today as I've read some comments on here saying they're a good idea.

I've been eating oatbran porridge for breakfast, crabsticks, sliced chicken and sliced beef for lunch, chicken, salmon, prawns, steak or omelettes so far and have managed without cheating at all. The occasional flavoured yoghurt or sugar free jelly to help with sugar cravings too.
I had a box of chocolates given to me at school last week and they've been on my desk but I've been offering them to other staff all week and haven't touched one myself. Unheard of for me!

I am going out for a family birthday meal next week but plan to make it my first cruise day. I'm going to have steak and a salad so I don't spoil all my hard work. I'm also looking forward to making my favourite turkey mince yuk sung type thing. I tried someone's recipe for turkey meatballs the other day, they were delicious, thank you fellow Dukaners!

What a lovely positive post! You sound very much in the zone! Well done you! :D

Day six of attack today. Was a bit miffed this morning when I weighed as I have lost weight every day since Sunday but today... no change. Got a bit depressed but then kicked myself into touch and though, well, maybe it is just a bit of a slow day, a bit of water retention perhaps? I haven't let it spoil my hard work. I've had a good day again, eating oat bran, sliced chicken, beef and crabsticks. Tonight I had dry stir fried chicken breasts with garlic, chilli and ginger. This doesn't sound particularly eventful I know but, I had been to the supermarket on the way home from work and bought a pizza for hubby for his tea. They were on offer and I could have bought two on the offer which would have meant me eating one and blowing my diet but I didn't! I walked out of the shop with one pizza, went home and cooked my chicken! I am feeling quietly smug.

Aaaahhh! Another morning where my weight has stayed the same on attack. But instead of thinking stuff it and giving in, I headed out to buy some green tea. Maybe if I drink copious amounts of this I might banish some excess water?

Hey Pootle!

You doing very well and I wouldnt worry about the STS.

The owner of the salon I go to saw me a month ago and wanted to know what I did to lose the weight - she is now on Dukan and coincidentally on Day 7 today. Her weight also STS over the last two days...

Your body is just catching up to the shock of the sudden drop in weight as well as the good food you eating

xx

Woo hoo! Dropped 2lbs this morning. Don't know if it was all the green tea I drank yesterday or the fact that I'm just sticking to the diet and am determined but 2lbs all the same. That's 9lbs since last Sunday. Thanks again everyone for all your posts, it really helps with motivation.

Recently Pootle, in newer versions of the diet, he doesn't recommend going over 5 days' attack (except for hugely obese people) as he's noticed little difference in weight loss over the 5 days, so I'd advise to get theee some veggies in and move onto PV... I'm so glad you lost those extra 2lbs though to make those extra days worthwhile :)

Add to that another lb off when I weighed this morning, that's 10 lbs in 8 days. I'm happy with that! I know I should switch to Cruise now but it is soooo tempting to do just one day more. I shall switch tomorrow and have some salad etc. I have some in the fridge ready. Thanks.

Well done :) I know what you mean about staying in attack, last time I did Dukan I only did about 1 PV day a week, it slowed down though so I've realised this time you may aswell enjoy the veggies. I've done my first 2 PV days yesterday and today and my gosh my dinners were amazing! Dinners I would happily eat off a diet. What we can do with a few veggies lol. Well done anyway your doing great xx

What did you have? I'm planning on a yuk sung with turkey mince as that is my favourite thing at a chinese restaurant and I can easily make it myself.

Yesterday had a chilli con carne with butternut squash chips and today made like a Szechuan beef with broccoli and cauliflower rice! Was lovely. I put some pics on my diary if you want to take a look x

Well done (and I applaud your intestines also, as PP/attack tends to bung people up!!!)... Yuk sung - I don't know what that is.
Enjoy your veggies and please don't worry if you see a slight increase :)

Yuk sung is a really tasty mince dish from chinese restaurants. It is normally done with pork mince but obviously pork is not allowed so turkey mince will substitute. You dry fry it with very finely chopped carrots, onions and bamboo shoots with a little soy sauce, garlic and ginger then serve it in little bowls of crisp iceberg lettuce. It is delicious, you must try it.

Yuk sung sounds great! I may try that one :) bns chips you just peel your squash scrape the middle away then cut into wedges, put onto a baking tray with foil spray fry light on and bang in the oven for 30 mins x

All sounding good ladies... it's true that there are substitutes for so many dishes we like when off the diet, so it's great to share them.

Well, veggies are back on the menu! I didn't think I was missing them but, oh boy, I've eaten some delicious meals! Isn't that just the best thing about cruise?... You don't actually need to feel like you're on a diet. But, as predicted by Maintainer, my weight has stayed the same since introducing veggies. I shall just keep plodding on PP, PV, PP, PV and wait for my body to realise that it is ok to drop a couple of pounds every now and then. I am still doing 20 mins minimum every night on the exercise bike and today, I treated myself to a weighted hula hoop. My waist is reappearing so I want to help it on its way and I've heard that these are great as a toning exercise. We'll see!

Agree with Leah - yuk sung sound delish! cant wait to try it... (and the BNS chips ;)).

Enjoy your veggies xx
