Hi all,
... started on the Dukan diet this morning. Have been a good dieter but since hitting my late twenties, it seems to have got so much harder!
Have heard great things about Dukan, most have tried in the office and one colleague lost a massive 5 stone! I have 2 stone to lose and have a year and a half until I get married. eeeeek!!

Please feel free to share some tips with me. One question I do have, is Bernard Matthews turkey ham ok?! (i know ham as a rule is a no no!)

Thank you!

Hi,
As far as I know turkey ham is ok but the more experienced people on here will tell you otherwise if need be.I started attack yesterday (again) but this time I'm determined. I'm on day two today and another successful day. I've also done loads of exercise, walking and exercise bike. I weighed this morning and I've dropped 3 lbs overnight. I know this is probably mostly water but it's a loss all the same and it has spurred me on!
Good luck for day two!

Real turkey breast would be far better as there's only apparently 60% turkey only in that processed Bernard Matthews stuff - euw!

("What is turkey ham made from? Well it turns out that is does contain some turkey, but no pork meat. There is a cow product though, about one third water, and far too much salt. Ingredients:
“turkey (60%), water, salt, stabilisers, potato & rice starch, milk protein, dextrose, whey protein, flavouring, antioxidant, acidity regulator, flavouring, preservative, yeast extract, garlic”)

But, in an emergency, why not...

Why not open a diary in the diary section and tell us more. You can post your menus if you'd like some guidance. And I hope you're having your oatbran and a multivitamin pill each day :)

Good luck!

Hey suzy

Welcome to Dukan... How did day 1 end for you?

Agree with Maintainer on the turkey ham - in emergencies, I have snacked on Oscar Mayer Turkey Ham (which is 96 or 97% fat free and very little added sugar and low in carbs) - but i avoid eating these coz they are so delish and I can finish the whole packet in one go ;).

Have a lovely day xx
