Hannah's Food Diary

Miller2

In it for the long haul!
I'm going to keep a food diary on here to try and help keep me on track. I always plan my week's meals in advance, but I feel writing it in here will help prevent me from adding 'little extras' over my daily syn allowance that 'don't count' (even though they do!). Feel free to comment and let me know if I'm going wrong anywhere! Will share some of my fave recipes in here too. I'm a very good cook if I say so myself! :)

Had 2 HIFI light bars (HEB) and an apple (SFREE) for my breakfast.

Just had some more gorgeous Chicken and Barley Soup for my lunch:
To make it:
Chicken (FREE & SPEED)
3 Carrots (SFREE)
1 Red Onion (SFREE)
2 Leeks (SFREE)
2 Sticks Celery (SFREE)
3 Tbsp Pearl Barley (FREE)
1.6l Chicken Stock using 8 OXO (FREE)

Chop all the ingredients (apart from the barley) into small chunks (I do the celery even smaller cos I don't like a big bit of it!). Throw them all into a pan along with the barley and stock. Bring to the boil and simmer for 45mins - 1hr for all the flavours to mingle and for the chicken to cook well.

YUMMY and very filling!

I can't remember what's for tea, got it on the fridge at home. Will update later.

May have been a bit naughty and had 2 roses out of the tin at work but I've synned them up - they were caramels at 2.5 syns each. Not worth 5 syns for those two measly bits of chocolate, but they've been eaten now so not much I can do about it! Will have to forgo my curly wurly later now. Unless my dinner is syn free, I won't know without lookin at the menu! If it is a free dinner, then that curly wurly is ALL MINE!!!!!
