In your opinion and personal experience with both diets??? Personally, I haven't tried Lipotrim, so can't make such a bold statement.
Cambridge is still better than Lipotrim.
Although I've spoken to my GP about my weight and wanting to lose it, I'd rather have a pharmacist over-seeing things at the start. I know that with Cambridge the counsellors have had training, but my guess is they probably don't have specific knowledge about the drugs I have to take. None of them have any known interactions with a VLCD, but its probably best to be cautious.
Thanks for the welcome guys - finding this site has been a boon, it really has. A few weeks ago I was feeling utterly hopeless about my weight, and now I'm quite excited at the prospect of getting on with getting rid of it.
From the research I've done there's not much difference between CD and LT, just more flavours and a counsellor with CD versus less flavours and a pharmacists for LT. The main reason for the LT initially is medical. I'm on a bunch of meds - some psoriatic arthritis related, plus statins, and some others too. I understand all those meds, their interactions, potential side effects (I'm pretty good at reading medical speak and research papers - I've had to be). Have heard all about how ghastly the lipotrim tastes from friends whom stuck it for all of a week!!
I got the OK, and I'm going to start tomorrow -
I know the first few days'll be tough, and then it gets easier
